Myanmar to grant visa to Indians on arrival
Indian President Ramnath Kovind is on a 5-day visit to Myanmar to boost people to people relation between these countries. Several other agreements are expected to be signed in order to stop China from over-ruling other Asian Countries. President visit to Myanmar is based on high-level engagement between the two counties under the ‘Act East Policy’ and ‘Neighbourhood First Policy’.
The talks between the two countries are also considering Motor Vehicle Agreement. So that people of both counties can easily entre each other country. President Ramnath Kovind said Motor Vehicles Agreement will open possibilities for people living along the border. He further added it will ease Myanmar to source goods and services more efficiently from India, and for us to exchange eco-friendly products made from bamboo, water hyacinth and other natural vegetation
Happy that during my visit the Myanmar government has decided to extend visa-on-arrival-facility to Indian tourists arriving at Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon and Mandalay airports.
This would give a major boost to our people-to-people exchanges and business ties #PresidentKovind
