Mohammad Siraj enters the Elite list, reveals the phone call from his mother inspired him to fulfill his dad’s dream

Indian pacer Mohammad Siraj lead Team India to the dressing room as he picked up his maiden 5 wicket haul in the last innings of the 4th Test between India and Australia.

It was heartwarming to see Siraj leading from the front with superb bowling figures of 5/73 on Day 4 of the 4th Test at the Gabba in Brisbane.

Mohammad Siraj has now become only the 5th Indian bowler to pick up a 5 wicket haul in the Gabba.

Siraj joined the elite list of Erapalli Prasanna, Bishan Singh Bedi, Madan Lal, and Zaheer khan. Siraj has utilized the bowling conditions superbly at Gabba and claimed the record-breaking achievement.

Siraj’s tour down under hasn’t been a bed of roses as he was continuously abused and hurled by fans.

For the unversed Siraj has lost his dad in November giving him a big blow, he was also subject to racial slur and abuse at Sydney and Brisbane respectively.

But the Hyderabad pacer defied all obstacles and came out firing on all cylinders on day four of the series decider at the Gabba.

Siraj during the press conference revealed that a phone call from his mother gave him much-needed confidence to go out and prove himself.

Siraj said that it was his dad wish that he would play for India and perform superbly. He said he is thankful to God that he got a chance to play for India and if his father was alive today he would be very happy.
