“Media Mogul Rupert Murdoch Announces Engagement at 92”

At the age of 92, media magnate Rupert Murdoch is once again preparing to walk down the aisle, this time with his girlfriend Elena Zhukova, according to a report by The New York Times. Murdoch, who has been married four times previously, has often found himself in the spotlight for his tumultuous personal life, which frequently becomes fodder for the tabloid newspapers he helped establish across three continents.
Last year, he announced an engagement to Ann Lesley Smith, only to call off the wedding plans shortly after. Zhukova, a retired molecular biologist from Russia who immigrated to the United States, is 67 years old, a quarter century younger than Murdoch.
Her daughter, Dasha Zhukova, is known for her involvement in the arts and was previously married to Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich. Murdoch’s upcoming wedding is set to take place at his California vineyard and estate, Moraga.
His last marriage was to model Jerry Hall, former partner of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger. Murdoch, who has six children from previous marriages, built a media empire that includes The Wall Street Journal and Fox News, among other influential outlets, and is estimated to be worth more than $20 billion according to Forbes.
Last November, he handed over control of his global media empire to his son Lachlan, shifting to an emeritus status.
