MDH spices owner Mahashay Dharampal Gulati passes away due to heart attack: Know More

Mahashyam Dharmapala, the owner of MDH Spices, died at the age of 98. It is being told that he died due to a heart attack at 5.30 am today. He was undergoing treatment in Delhi for the last 3 weeks.

During partition he left Pakistan:

Dharampal Gulati was born on 27 March 1923 in Sialkot, Pakistan. His family moved from Pakistan to Amritsar and then to Delhi at the time of partition in 1947. MDH (Monsieur Di Hatti) was introduced by Dharmapala’s father Mahashay Chunni Lal Gulati. Dharampal took the business forward and made MDH a famous brand. He was also seen in company advertisements himself. Mahashay Dharmapala was awarded the Padma Vibhushan last year for his contribution to the industry.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh offered condolences through a tweet:

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also tweeted his condolence.
