Lohri special : From Amitabh Bacchan to Akshay Kumar, celebs wish their fans Happy Lohri

The first festival of the year 2022 is finally here! Lohri, marks new beginnings and the harvest season. It is celebrated before Makar Sankranti during the month of Paush or Magh with grandeur. Originally celebrated in Punjab and neighbouring places, the festival of Lohri takes place on winter solstice day which marks the end of the chilly season. From dancing to the tunes of Punjabi songs to relishing popcorns and til- laddoo, everyone is all set to celebrate the festival with great pomp and show with their family and friends. A string of celebrities from the Hindi film fraternity took to their social media to share their wishes for fans, friends, and family. Here’s what they had to say:

1. Amitabh Bacchan

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan extended heartfelt Lohri greetings to everyone. Taking to Instagram, Big B posted an animated version of the famous Punjabi folk song — ‘Sundri Mundri Hoye’. The ‘Don’ star also prayed for everyone’s ‘peace’ and ‘safety’. 

2. Abhishek Bacchan

Abhishek Bachchan shared an animated picture of Lohri celebration with a quote which read as, “Happy Lohri. May the Lohri fire burn away all the sadness out of your life and bring you joy, happiness and love. Wishing a very Happy Lohri to you and your family”.

3. Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram stories to wish her fans on Lohri. 

4. Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar took to his social media and wished fans in Punjabi. “Moongphali dee khusboo atte gur di mithas,makki dee roti ਤੇ sarson da saag,dil dee khushi atte apnea da pyar Mubarak hove sarian nu lohri da tyohar. #HappyLohri,” the actor wrote.
