Lisa Haydon – “You are, after all, the sum of all your experiences”: Birthday Special

Lisa Haydon aka Elisabeth Marie Haydon was born in Chennai, India to an Australian mother. Her sister is model turned DJ Malika Haydon, one half of the DJ duo Nina & Malika. Haydon lived in Australia and the United States, before moving back to India in 2007 to pursue modeling.

Lisa was first spotted by Anil Kapoor in a cafe and then her personal assistant got a call from the makers of movie Aisha (2010), she was cast in that film alongside Sonam Kapoor. In 2014, she was offered the role of Vijayalaxmi, a single mother upbringing her child in ‘Queen’ movie. The same year in 2014, she was cast opposite Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor and Piyush Mishra in a critically acclaimed and commercially failed movie ‘The Shaukeens’. Lisa also shared the screen with Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai in the box office blockbuster Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

She is also the face of Lakme. She has also featured in commercials for Hyundai i20, Indigo Nation, Myntra.com and Blender’s Pride. In 2010, she did a commercial opposite, Hrithik Roshan. With the legendary photographer Peter Lindbergh, she modeled for Nirav Modi along with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Andreea Diaconu.

She is a model in India and internationally. She appears on several popular Magazine covers such as harpers bazaar Grazia (India), Cosmopolitan, Elle (India), Verve, Vogue India, Femina (India), FHM (Magazine), Hello! (Magazine), and L’Officiel.
