Lionel Messi demands transfer request from Barcelona, Furious fans reacts with Protests!

Barcelona star Lionel Messi drops bombshell on Tuesday as he demanded to leave Barcelona after playing for them for more than 20 years.

 The 33-year-old Lionel Messi has demanded to leave the Barcelona club by activating a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave on a free transfer. Ten days after Barcelona lost 2-8 to Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League, Lionel Messi communicates his intention to Spanish Club that he wants to leave.

 Meanwhile, Twitter exploded with reactions after hearing the big news that Messi is looking to leave Barcelona. The Barcelona fans took to the streets and congregated at the club’s stadium and protested against Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu, demanding his resignation.

After Bayern defeat, Barcelona has earlier sacked head coach Quique Setien as well as the technical manager Eric Abidal. For a quite time now Lionel Messi has been disillusioned with the club management and its president Josep Bartomeu and the club let go of several key players like Neymar in the last five years. The tensions peaked a few weeks ago when players and management could not agree on the Paycuts following the outbreak of a pandemic. The tipping point was the defeat to Bayern Munich which quite evidently ensured the tensions between the club and the players.

Messi joined Barcelona at the age of 13 and debuted at 16 and since then have established the team as the best football team club in the world. He has himself established as one of the football’s all-time greatest players after initially debuted with Barcelona in 2004.

 On an individual level, Lionel Messi has played 731 games for Barcelona and scored 634 goals. Messi has also won the Ballon d’Or a record six times.

Former Barcelona captain and Messi’s teammate Carles Puyol was the first player to bid farewell to the Superstar of football Lionel Messi, whose decision has already set the football world quite upside down.

 If rumors are to be believed there is now a shortage of clubs to sign the star player Lionel Messi but the front runners are Manchester City, led by his former Barcelona mentor Pep Guardiola.
