Kareena Kapoor claims her character Geet increased the Indian Railways revenue after ‘Jab We Met’

20 August, 2022 (New Delhi): Kareena Kapoor is making a lot of headlines these days for her film ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. Her film had to face a lot of Boycott. But now she is back with her latest movie and is ready to win everyone’s heart with her words. Recently, Kareena Kapoor has jokingly said that she has given financial benefits to the Indian Railways.

Kareena, who appeared in the courtroom comedy ‘Case To Bana Hai’, claimed that Indian Railways’ revenue has increased after the release of her film Jab We Met (2007). Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film stars Kareena as Geet, a very jovial and talkative girl, who collides with Shahid Kapoor’s gloomy character Aditya Kashyap on a train.

A large portion of the film’s opening features train and railway stations, as the song misses its train twice. She is also harassed by a kiosk seller and she also gets into an argument with an Indian Railway employee. In an episode of Kes Toh Bana Hai, Kareena said that her Jab We Met character helped increase the revenue of Indian Railways. She added that the song also boosted sales of harem pants, which he wore during his scenes at train and railway stations.

Kareena spoke one of the way the song spoke and jokingly said, ‘After playing my song, both the sales of harem pants and the revenue of Indian Railways have gone up.’ Kareena also uttered a dialogue from the film when Varun. Sharma, who is playing the role of his lawyer, asked him to be more serious about the court appointments. Kareena replied, ‘Now you teach me, Sikhni hoon main Bhatinda ki, everything comes to me, from catching the train to winning the case’.


Kes Toh Bana Hai has Riteish Deshmukh as a lawyer, Kusha Kapila as the judge and Varun Sharma as the defense lawyer. It also features comedians Gopal Dutt, Paritosh Tripathi, Monika Murthy, Sanket Bhosle, Sugandha Mishra and Siddharth Sagar. Apart from Kareena, Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Karan Johar have appeared in the Amazon mini TV show to face the ‘charge’ against her.
