Jhanvi Kapoor To Make Her Debut In The Remake Of The Fault In Our Stars And Not Sairat?
Talks of Sridevi’s elder daughter, Jhanvi Kapoor’s debut has been doing rounds since about a year now and it seems she is set to persevere further with her debut and wishes not to rush it. As per fresh reports, Jhanvi’s debut, which was set to come in the Hindi remake of Marathi blockbuster is either getting further delayed or will be moved to another project entirely. The actress may now make her debut with the remake of the Hollywood hit, The Fault In Our Stars.
Karan Johar, the main man to launch Jhanvi, is in two minds about the success of the Sairat remake. It worked like a charm in Marathi because the story of a forbidden love affair across caste lines was anchored to the Maharashtrian milieu. Karan Johar wanted to relocate the plot to a more upmarket milieu and make it more Romeo & Juliet than play on caste. In doing so, the plot has become like any other love story. Furthermore, Shashank Khaitan (who is to direct the Hindi remake of Sairat) wants to do a lighter take on the original, a source close to the project tells a media portal.
Curiously enough, Karan was also set to launch Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan, however, instead of waiting for Karan, she decided to go ahead with Abhishek Kapoor ‘s Kedarnath. A source close to the Kapoor’s tells, Jhanvi is not impatient. She is willing to wait for Karan to find the perfect vehicle..
