IPL Final : Mumbai Indians defeats Delhi Capitals by 5 Wickets

Rohit Sharma, Trent Boult Star as Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals by 5 Wickets to win the IPL for a record fifth time at the Dubai International Stadium.

Choosing to bat first Delhi Capitals suffered a top-order collapse as Trent Boult (3/30,) and Jayant Yadav (1/25) dismissed the top three within the first four overs. After that Shreyas Iyer (65) and Rishabh Pant (56) rescued Delhi with a 96-run partnership to help DC set a decent target for MI.

Chasing the target Mumbai needed a good start from their openers and even did De Kock fall early, Rohit Sharma played the captain’s knock by scoring 67 runs off 51 balls to guide Mumbai Indians to a comfortable win. The skipper led from the front when it mattered the most. Rohit was supported by Ishan Kishan who scored 33 not out as Mumbai won by six wickets.

Rohit Sharma became only the 2nd captain after MS Dhoni to lead a successful title defence as Mumbai Indians broke their even-year jinx to be crowned the Indian Premier League champions for a record-extending 5th time.

Mumbai Indians, known for their meticulous pre-season planning and excellent use of data and match-ups, looked a well-oiled machine as they proved yet again why they are the most dominant side of IPL 2020. From not winning even a single match during their trip to the UAE in 2014 to bossing the tournament in 2020, Rohit’s men have effortlessly turned their fortunes around in the Middle East.

Qualifier 2: Delhi Capitals defeats Sunrisers Hyderabad by 17 runs

Shikhar Dhawan, Marcus Stoinis star as all-around Delhi Capitals outclass Sunrisers Hyderabad by 17 runs at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Batting first Delhi Capitals posted a challenging total of 189 for three thanks to partnerships between Dhawan, Stoinis, and Shimron Hetymer. Shikhar Dhawan and his new opening partner Marcus Stoinis added 86 runs while Shikhar Dhawan and Hetmyer stitched a quickfire 52 runs stand.

Dhawan was the top scorer for DC by scoring 78 runs off 50 balls, his 41st half-century in the IPL while Hetmyer remained unbeaten on 42 runs off 22 balls. Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, and Jason Holder managed to bag a wicket each for SRH but the failure of the other bowlers to contain the flow eventually led to DC posting such a high total.

Chasing the Target SRH had a horrible start as Rabada started the damage of SRH batting by getting rid of David Warner early and Stoinis giving him proper support struck two crucial wickets to put SRH on the back foot in the power play itself.

But just like last game, Williamson was the top scorer for SRH with 67 runs. Although Williamson got some support from Abdul Samad to put a quickfire 57 runs, all hopes of a comeback ended when Stoinis sent the New Zealand skipper home. After that Rabada quickly ended up SRh innings with a spectacular bowling performance ending all hopes of Sunrisers.

With the win Delhi Capitals finally produced the performance they had been searching for years. For the first time in their 13-year history, Delhi Capitals have made it to the IPL Final.

Eliminator: Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets

Kane Williamson fifty helps Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets in the Eliminator of Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Batting first RCB was restricted to a below-par total of 131/7 by SRH bowlers.Mr.360 Ab de Villiers was the top scorer and the lone warrior with 56 runs after RCB went through a terrible start against the SRH bowling attack. Jason Holder was the pickup bowler of bowler for Sunrisers Hyderabad, accounting for three crucial wickets.

Chasing the Target SRH too had a terrible start but Kane Williamson showed his class once again by scoring his 14th IPL half-century to help SRH get across the line. Williamson also received support from Jason Holder who stepped in with a fine cameo down the order.

Williamson (50*) and Jason Holder (24*) stitched a 65-run stand for the fifth wicket and they chased down the target with two balls to spare.

Winning the Eliminator, Sunrisers Hyderabad now entered Qualifier 2 of this season and will face Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 2 on November 8.

Qualifier 1: Mumbai Indians defeats Delhi Capitals by 57 runs

Mumbai Indians Crush Delhi Capitals by 57 runs to enter the second successive final in the first qualifier at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.

Batting First, Defending Champions Mumbai Indians (MI) posted a total of 200 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Ishan Kishan was the highest run-scorer for Mumbai Indians, smashing 55 runs. Ishan enjoyed support from Surya Kumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya who scored 51 and 37 runs respectively. Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was the pickup bowlers for Delhi Capitals, accounting for three wickets.

Chasing the target DC had a horrific start as their top three batsmen went early without evening scoring a single run on the scoreboard. Mumbai Indians Pacers Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah were exceptional proving their mettle once again. Although Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis attempted to keep DC in the hunt with a 46 ball 65 runs. However, it all fell apart following his dismissal with a poor show in crucial fame from Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant. Boom Boom Bumrah finished with career-best T20 figures of 4/14 with Boult accounting for two dismissals.

Winning the match Mumbai Indians have qualified for the IPL 2020 Finals whereas Delhi Capitals will take on the winning side in the Eliminator set to take place tomorrow.

Match 56 of 56: Sunrisers Hyderabad defeats Mumbai Indians by 10 wickets.

David Warner, Wriddhiman Saha Show made Sunrisers Hyderabad thrash Mumbai Indians by 10 Wickets to seal play-off berth at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Batting first Mumbai Indians posted a modest total of 149 runs. Kieron Pollard was the top scorer for MI by scoring a quickfire 41 runs to accelerate MI innings. SRH took control of the match with quick wickets thanks to a brilliant bowling performance from Sandeep Sharma who picked up three crucial wickets.

Chasing the target David Warner (85) and Wriddhiman Saha (58) stitched an undefeated opening partnership the take SRH home in a must-win game.

This Win also means that Kolkata Knight Riders are out of the tournament. Mumbai Indians will now face Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 1 while SRH will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Eliminator.

Match 55 of 56: Delhi Capitals defeats Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets

Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya hit the fifties as Delhi Capitals seal a top-two spot by beating Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets at Sheik Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Batting first Delhi restricted Bangalore to a below-par total of 152 for 7.Devdutt Padikkal was the top scorer for RCB scoring a much-needed half-century. DC took control of the match with quick wickets thanks to a brilliant bowling performance from Anrich Nortje who picked up 3 crucial wickets.

Chasing the target DC lost Prithvi Shaw early but Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane got the chase back on track. Dhawan hits his 40th IPL fifty to keep Delhi cruising. After the departure of Dhawan, Rahane anchored his innings quite magnificently and scored 60 runs before being dismissed. Marcus Stoinis and Rishabh Pant then finished off the chase with an over to spare.

After beating RCB, DC now is officially through and will face Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 1. With this win, Delhi Capitals have secured the second spot on the points tally with 16 points.

Meanwhile RCB has also qualified for the playoffs and will finish third and fourth depending on the result of the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians on Tuesday.

Match 54 of 56: Kolkata Knight Riders defeats Rajasthan Royals by 60 runs

Morgan, Cummins Shine as Kolkata Knight Riders thrashes Rajasthan Royals by 60 runs, boosting their net run rate significantly at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Batting First Kolkata Knight Riders posted a total of 191 runs for the loss of seven Wickets. Skipper Eoin Morgan was the highest run-scorer, smashing 68 runs. Andre Russell further made his presence felt with a quickfire 25 runs. Rahul Tewatia was the pick of bowlers for Rajasthan picking up three wickets.

Chasing the target Rajasthan Royals batsmen started the chase on a strong note but soon KKR star bowler Cummins made a strong comeback accounting for the openers and skipper Steve Smith in quick succession. The RR batsmen failed to recover from this early jolt and eventually able to score just 131 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.

Match 53 of 56:Chennai Super Kings defeats Kings XI Punjab by nine wickets

Rituraj Gaikwad’s third consecutive fifty guided Chennai Super Kings to beat Kings XI Punjab by nine Wickets, ending their hopes of qualifying for the playoffs, at the Sheik Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

After electing to bowl first, CSK floundered in the power play as KXIP openers KL Rahul (29) and Mayank Agarwal (26) led them to a healthy start. But Dhoni’s side soon turned the tables as they took control of the match with quick wickets thanks to a spectacular bowling performance from Lungi Ngidi who picked up 3 crucial wickets. Though Deepak Hooda’s unbeaten 62-run knock late in the innings guided a lackluster Punjab to 153/6 at the end of 20 overs.

Chasing the target, Chennai started brilliantly as both openers Faf Du Plessis and Rituraj Gaikwad accelerated the run-chase with quick firings. After the South African departed, his opening partner Rituraj Gaikwad (62) carried on with the momentum and chased the target with the help of Ambati Rayudu.

Match 52 of 56: Sunrisers Hyderabad defeats Royal Challengers Bangalore by 5 wickets.

The Orange Army has finally made it to the playoffs but Team Super V’s position in the points table is still unaffected as SRH has crushed RCB by 5 wickets at Sharjah Cricket Stadium and threw Kings XI Punjab from the top 4.

SRH won the toss and decided to field. In RCB innings, top batsman like Devdutt Padikkal- 5(8), Virat Kohli- 7(7) and AB de Villiers- 24(24) couldn’t gave justice to their cricket and set an easy target for SRH after scoring 120 runs with 7 wickets loss and SRH chased the score by making 121 runs with the loss of 5 wickets.

Its a fourth consecutive loss of Delhi Capitals in the last 2 weeks. Mumbai Indians have defeated Delhi Capitals for the second time in this time at Dubai International Stadium.

MI won the toss and chose to bowl first. To the shock of fans, Shikhar Dhawan again scored a duck in the first over from Trent Boult after a beautiful catch by Suryakumar Yadav.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) beat Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by seven wickets, with Ben Stokes making his presence felt at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Batting First KXIP posted a total of 185 runs for the loss of four wickets. Universal Boss Chris Gayle continued with his menacing form, smashed a 63 ball 99 runs. Gayle and Captain KL Rahul (46) took the RR bowlers to the cleaners, stitching 120 runs partnership for the second wicket to help KXIP post a challenging total after being put in to bat.

Chasing the target, Rajasthan Royals got off to a blistering start as Robin Uthappa and Ben Stokes went great guns. Ben Stokes smashes a 26 ball 50 to provide the much-needed accelerator for the chase Samson too chipped in with a quickfire 48. The Rajasthan Royals then eventually went over the line bringing an end to Punjab’s dream run.

Ruturaj Gaikwad Fifty, Ravindra Jadeja flourish power Chennai Super Kings to beat Kolkata Knight Riders by Six Wickets in final over thriller at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Batting first Kolkata Knight Riders posted a modest total of 172 runs for the loss of five wickets. Nitesh Rana was the highest run-scorer for KKR, smashing 87 runs off 61 delivery. For CSK Lungi Ngidi was the pick of the bowlers accounting for two dismissals.

Chasing the target Ruturaj Gaikwad played a spectacular inning of 72. After that both Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja’s power pack performance made CSK achieved the target on the final ball of the innings.

Win for Chennai Super Kings also meant that Mumbai Indians now became the first team to qualify for the play-offs.

Earlier CSK finished with a total of 114 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Trent Boult (4-18) and Rahul Chahar (2-22) were the prime bowlers to restrict Chennai Super Kings below low par total.

Chasing 115, it was always going to be a relatively easy chase for Mumbai’s destructive batting line -up. Ishan Kishan and de Kock though came out with intent and aggression.

The pair was in a hurry to wrap this up with y Indian southpaw Ishan Kishan finished unbeaten on 68 from 37 balls and de Kock was clinical with the bat as well unbeaten on 46 from 37 balls.Quinton and de Kock stitched an unbeaten partnership of 116 runs to help MI get across the line.

Manish Pandey (83) and Vijay Shankar (52) led Sunrisers Hyderabad to an 8-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals at Dubai International Stadium.

After electing to bowl first, it felt that Sunrisers Hyderabad has just hit the jackpot by clearly justifying their decision. None of the Rajasthan Royals batsmen could put a show as SRH bowlers maintained the pressure throughout the innings. After the end of 20 overs, Rajasthan managed to post a respectable 154/6 on the board.

Chasing the target, SRH started off on a back foot after losing Warner and Johnny Bairstow early in their innings, Hyderabad managed to pull their game together after both Manish Pandey and Vijay Shankar duo stitched up a partnership of 140 runs to help SRH get across the line.

Match 39 of 56: Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 8 wickets.

It is the seventh victory of Team Super V in IPL 2020 which helped them to secure thier position in the second place in the points table. Royal Challengers Bangalore crushed Kolkata Knight Riders for the second time in this tournament by 8 wickets with 39 balls left.

KKR won the toss and chose to bat at Sheikh Zayed Stadium. The match ended very quickly as KKR only scored 84 runs with 8 wickets loss in their innings. RCB’s Mohammed Siraj made a record in this tournament by giving away only 2 runs in 3 wickets and became Star of the Match.

Meanwhile RCB’s Devdutt Padikal- 25(17), Gurkeerat Singh- 21*(26) runs not out and Virat Kohli- 18 *(17) runs not out made RCB win this match with an ease. RCB has scored 85 runs with 2 wickets loss.

Pooran, Maxwell guide Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) to defeat Delhi Capitals (DC) by five wickets at Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.

A scintillating 28 ball 53 from Pooran alongside a responsible 32 from Maxwell helped Kings XI Punjab register their third win in a row.

Batting first Delhi Capitals could manage only 164 for 5 despite Shikhar Dhawan’s unbeaten 106 off 61 balls which included 12 fours and three sixes.

Chasing the score comfortably KXIP reached the target in 19 overs with Jimmy Neesham hitting the winning six. With the win, KXIP moved to the fifth spot in the points.

Match 37 of 56:Rajasthan Royals defeat Chennai Super Kings by 7 wickets

Steven Smith and Jos Butler stitched an unbeaten 98 partnership as Rajasthan Royals beat Chennai Super Kings by 7 Wickets.

In the first innings, Ravindra Jadeja scored an unbeaten 35 to post a modest total of 125/5 in 20 overs. It was quite evident that CSK batsman was struggling and which pretty much reflected throughout the first innings.

In the second half RR had gone 28/3 at one moment but Jos Butler and Steve Smith did some repair work and later dominated CSK to help their team to an easy win. Butler top-scored with 70 not out while Smith was unbeaten on 26.

Rajasthan Royals takes two points easily and this game will give them a boost in Net Run Rate.

Mayank, Gayle power Kings XI Punjab to Thrilling Win Vs Mumbai Indians in 2nd Super Over in Dubai.

Both Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab were level after 40 overs at 176 each. Then happen the first super over where both teams again leveled the score. Finally, in the second super over, KXIP chases down 12 runs from 4 balls.

First Time in the history of IPL we have got two Super Over games in a day. Kings XI Punjab stops Mumbai Indians’ five-match winning streak and register their second win in a row and do so in dramatic fashion.

Match 35 of 56: Kolkata Knight Riders defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad in Super Over.

Lockie Ferguson bowled an exceptional Super over to lead Kolkata Knight Riders to a thrilling win against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.

KKR scored a decent total of 163 for 5 in the first innings with Shubhman Gill Top-scoring with his 36 -run knock while T Natarajan took two wickets for SRH.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad ended their innings at 163 for 6 with David Warner unbeaten on 47. Ferguson then took two wickets in the Super Over and conceded only 2 runs. KKR easily scored the required three runs to complete the win.

Match 34 of 56: Delhi Capitals sideline Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets.

Chennai Super Kings won the toss and chose to bat first. Chennai’s star batsmen Faf du Plessis- 58(47), and Ambati Raydu- 45*(25) not out has indeed played fabulous innings and made it to 179 runs with 4 wickets loss and built a challenging target for DC.

DC had to score 180 to win the match, but when you have stellar performers like Shikhar Dhawan, one doesn’t have to worry much. With Dhawan’s first century in IPL 2020 and Axar Patel’s- 21*(5) last three sixes, Delhi Capitals scored 185 runs with 5 wickets loss and won the match against Chennai Super Kings with 1 ball left.

Match 33 of 56: Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets.

Team Super V has crushed Steve Smith lead Rajasthan Royals with 7 wickets at Dubai International Stadium.

RR won the toss and decided to bat first.

While RCB was in the position to loose the match due to their low run rate in the last two overs but AB de Villiers saved the day by scoring 3 consecutive sixes while Steve Smith decided to bowl instead of Jofra Archer. In the last over, de Villiers made 10 runs in first four balls of the over and helped RCB to chase of the target of 177.

Match 32 of 56:Mumbai Indians defeat Kolkata Knight Riders by 8 wickets.

Mumbai Indians beat Eoin Morgan led Kolkata by eight wickets in game 32 of the Indian Premier League 2020 at the Sheik Zayed Stadium on Friday. With the win, Munna has again moved to the top of the points table.

Mumbai bowlers did a commendable job to restrict Kolkata Knight Riders to a below-average score of 148. Chasing a modest total, Mumbai Indians got off to an excellent start, with opening batsmen Rohit Sharma and De Kock bringing up the team’s fifty inside the power play itself.

De Kock marched after Sharma’s dismissal assisted by Hardik Pandya, chased the target in the seventeenth over of the match.

It was a completely one-sided affair as Kolkata didn’t turn up with the bat. Unfortunately, Change in Leadership did not provide a change in their fate.

Match 31 of 56:Kings XI Punjab defeat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 8 wickets.

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) with a six off the last ball, winning by 8 wickets and registering their second win of the season.

KL Rahul (61) and Chris Gayle (53) smashed KXIP towards the target, but a near-game-changing 20th Over by Yuzvendra Chahal (1/35) required a six off the last ball by Nicholas Pooran to clinch the thriller.

RCB, batting first against KXIP, scored 171/6 in their 20 overs.Chasing 172 runs to win, Punjab was in control of the match till the last over. However, Yuzvendra Chahal spun a twist by removing the game and tried to push the game into super over but unfortunately failed.

With the win, Punjab ended their winless streak and still placed at No. 8 position with four points. While Banglore remains at No. 3 with 10 points.

Match 30 of 56: Delhi Capitals defeat Rajasthan Royals by 13 runs.

Clinical Delhi Capitals beat Rajasthan Royals by 13 runs to go top of the table.DC batting first put 161/7 in 20 overs. They were given some early jolts by Jofra Archer (3/19), as they were reduced to 10/2 in the third over. Shikhar Dhawan (57) counter-attacked against RR’s other bowlers, and Shreyas Iyer (53) took charge after Dhawan’s wicket.

Rajasthan Royals were given a cracking start by Jos Butler (22) and Ben Stokes (41), and Sanju Samson (25) built a steady partnership with Stokes in the middle overs.

Amrich Nortje (2/33) delivered the killer blow in the death overs with Robin Uthappa’s (32) wicket, after which RR could not keep up with the required run rate. They eventually reached 148/8 in their 20 overs, losing by 13 runs.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK)returned to winning ways after they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 20 runs in Match 29 of the Dream 11 Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Chennai Super Kings beating Sunrisers Hyderabad stay afloat in the race to qualify for the playoffs and also registered their first success this season while defending a total.

Chasing 168 for victory, CSK restricted SRH to 147 for 8 in 20 over thanks to some commendable bowling performance from Dwayne Bravo, Sam Curran, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, and Karn Sharma.

CSK, in desperate need of their reviving their IPL Campaign, now have 6 points from 8 matches and need to win all their remaining games to ensure that they make it to the knockouts.

Match 28 of 56: Royal Challenger Bangalore defeat Kolkata Knight Riders by 82 Runs.

Riding on AB de Villiers explosive half-century Royal Challenger Bangalore beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 82 runs at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Monday.

Bangalore outplayed Kolkata as their batsman first set the big total of 194/2. Later their bowler did a commendable job in successfully defending 195.

Defending scores has been their biggest drawback in the past, but not tonight. Bangalore is slowly but surely becoming a team to beat. They are having a good run recently with back to back wins.

RCB now leapfrogged KKR to third in the standings with 10 points after 7 games. KKR dropped down to fourth, 8 points from 7 games.

Match 27 of 56: Mumbai Indians defeat Delhi Capitals by 5 Wickets.

Mumbai Indians reach the top of the table after pulling off a five-wicket win over Delhi Capitals.

Riding on brisk fifties from Quinton de Kock and Surya Kumar Yadav, Mumbai Indians Chased down a competitive 163-run target with 2 balls to spare.

Match 26 of 56:Rajasthan Royals defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 5 Wickets.

Rajasthan Royals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets in an Indian Premier League match on Sunday.

Hyderabad started with the bat and lost Baristow’s early courtesy of youngster Kartik Tyagi. Manish Pandey was the shining light as he scored a very well made half-hour century.

Pandey’s knock coupled with the small cameos by Williamson and Garg, they cruised to 158 runs.With the bowling they possessed, they should have defended this total but the duo of Tewatia and Parag snatched the game away from Hyderabad.

Not even a diehard Royals fan gave the team much chance after they lost Ben Stokes, Steve Smith, and Jos Butler with only 26 runs on the board as they began their chase of 159 on a slow wicket. Rajasthan Royals now have three wins from their seven matches.

Match 25 of 56: Royal Challengers Bangalore defeat Chennai Super Kings by 37 runs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore rode on skipper Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 90 off 52 balls to beat Chennai Super Kings by 37 runs in an IPL game on Saturday.

Batting first RCB scored 169 for 4 and then restricted CSK to 132 for 8.Chris Morris was pick up the bowlers with 3 for 19 as the most successful bowler for RCB while Washington Sundar also got a couple of wickets.

Ambati Rayudu top-scored with 42 runs off 40 balls from Super Kings side.Chris Morris has been impressive on his RCB debut. Chennai is surely missing the likes of Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh

Match 24 of 56: Kolkata Knight Riders defeat Kings XI Punjab by 2 runs.

Kings XI Punjab is indeed having its bad days in IPL 2020 as they lost the match from Kolkata Knight Riders by just 2 runs at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

KKR won the toss and chose to bat first and made 164 runs with 6 wickets loss on the board.

KXIP had to make 165 runs but due to tough luck they couldn’t win the match. In the last over, 7 runs were left to win. Sunil Narine delivered a wide ball, Glenn Maxwell attempted to six but the ball landed inside the boundry line and that’s how KXIP could only scored 162 runs with 5 wickets loss.

KKR captain Dinesh Kartik bacame Man of the Match after scoring 58 runs in 29 balls.

Match 23 of 56: Delhi Capitals crushed Rajasthan Royals by 46 runs.

Delhi Capitals again got the 1st position on the points table and left Mumbai Indians on the second after they beat Rajasthan Royals by 46 runs at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. RR won the toss and decided to field.

With an amazing innings by Marcus Stoinis- 39 (30), Shimron Hetmyer- 45 (24) and captain Shreyas Iyer- 22 (18), DC managed to make 184 runs with 8 wickets loss on the board.

Now Rajasthan Royals have to score 185 runs but couldn’t resisted in front of DC’s youngsters and ended up scoring 138 runs all out.

DC’s right arm spinner Ravichandran Ashwin becomes Man of the Match after taking 2 wickets in 22 balls with an economy of 5.5.

Match 22 of 56: Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Kings XI Punjab by 69 runs.

It was quiet a brutal loss for Kings XI Punjab at Dubai International Stadium as SRH not only won the toss, but also won the match by huge 69 runs.

SRH scored 201 runs with 6 wicket loss in their innings. Jonny Bairstow played a wonderful game by scoring 97 runs with 55 balls after which, he also holded the Man of The Match title.

KXIP had to score 202 runs to win this match. Apart from that, it was important to them to win this match so that they could move ahead from the last position in the points table. But they scored only 132 runs all out. Even Nicolas Pooran- 77 (37) who made the fastest 50 (17) of this tournament couldn’t save the match for KXIP.

Match 21 of 56: Kolkata Knight Riders beat Chennai Super Kings by 10 runs.

KKR won the toss and chose to bat.

That was quite an edge to edge battle between KKR and CSK at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

Both the teams were batting well at the first half of their innings until the amazing bowling seen from the players.

Kolkata Knight Riders scored 167 runs all out. All thanks to KKR’s Rahul Tripathi who scored 81 runs in 51 balls. Chennai Super Kings scored 157 runs with 5 wicket loss and lost the match from KKR.

Match 20 of 56: Mumbai Indians defeat Rajasthan Royals by 57 runs.

Mumbai Indians have finally won over Rajasthan Royals in this 20th game of IPL 2020. After 5 long years MI has got its victory from RR at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

MI won the toss and chose to bat first. Rohit Sharma scored 35 runs in 23 balls. But right handed batsman Suryakumar Yadav becomes Man of the Match after he scored 79* runs in 47 balls.

MI made a score of 193 runs with four wickets loss and left Rajasthan to chase this big score.

In the second innings RR could only scored 136 runs all out. Even the batsmen like Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a duck. Joss Buttler- 70 (44) until Keiron Pollard took a fantastic catch.

Match 19 of 56: Delhi Capitals wins over Royal Challengers Bangalore by 59 runs.

Delhi Capitals won the toss and chose to bat.

It was an edge to edge battle between Delhi and Bangalore at Dubai International Stadium as both the teams were the winner in their Saturday matches and both the teams have lost only a single time before that. However, Delhi Capitals managed to win this match with an ease. Delhi Capitals set a tough target of 197 runs for RCB after scoring 196 runs with 4 wickets loss.

But it became impossible for the chase lover captain Virat Kohli’s team to win the match with the amazing overs by purple cap holder Kagiso Rabada- 4/24 with 6 as the economy rate and Axar Patel- 2/18 with the economy rate of 4.5. Therefore, RCB only scored 137 runs with 9 wickets loss.

Delhi Capitals again made it to the top of the points table and Axar Patel wins Man of the Match title.

Match 18 of 56: Chennai Super Kings wins over Kings XI Punjab by 10 wickets (14 balls left).

Chennai Super Kings finally got another much- needed victory in this 18th match of IPL 2020 against Kings XI Punjab with an ease.

The match took place at Dubai International Stadium.

KXIP won the toss and chose to bat. Captain KL Rahul scored the most for his team i.e. 63 (52) and Nicholas Pooran made 33 (17).

KXIP scored 178 runs with 4 wickets loss and set the target for CSK to score 179.

With the undefeated partneeship of Faf du Plessis- 87* (53) and Shane Watson- 83* (53), Chennai Super Kings made 181 runs without any loss.

Shane Watson got awarded with Man of the Match title.

MI won the toss and chose to bat.

However, the Orange Army could only scored 174 runs with 7 wickets loss after a tremendous overs by Trent Boult, James Pattinson and Jasprit Bumraah who took 2 wickets each for their team and that epic end of the boundary catch by Rahul Chahar from Priyam Garg’s delivery.

Match 16 of 56: Delhi Capitals defeat Kolkata Knight Riders by 18 runs.

Delhi Capitals get their position back on the top of points table after they defeat Kolkata Knight Riders by 18 runs at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

KKR won the toss and chose to bowl. Delhi Capitals made a massive number on the board i.e. 228 runs with 4 wickets loss with an amazing batting line- up: Captain Shreyas Iyer- 88* (38), Prithvi Shaw- 66 (41) and Rishabh Pant- 38 (17). Now KKR had to score 229 to win.

However, even KKR’s star batsmen Andre Russell- 13 (8), Nitish Rana- 58 (35) and Eoin Morgan- 44 (18) couldn’t save the match and ended up scoring 210 runs with 8 wickets loss.

DC captain was awarded Man of The Match title.

Match 15 of 56: Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Rajasthan Royals by 8 wickets (5 balls left).

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bat. The match took place at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

This is the another victory of RCB in IPL 2020.It seems like they have learned a lot from their previous performances. Yuzuvendra Chahal gave a tremendous performance in his over after he caught the ball from Sanju Samson- 4(3).

RR scored 154 runs with 6 wickets loss and set the target for 155 for RCB.

Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 158 runs with the loss of 2 wickets after an amazing partnership of Virat Kohli- 72 (53) and Devdutt Padikkal- 63 (45).

Yuzuvendra Chahal becomes the Purple Cap holder after taking 8 wickets with an economy rate of 7.19 in this tournament and also becomes Man of the Match after taking 3 wickets in 24 runs with an economy rate of 6.

Match 14 of 56: Chennai Super Kings defeated by Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 runs.

SRH won the toss and chose to bat.

CSK is just having its bad time in this 13th season of Indian Premier League as its their third time defeat in the tournament match which took place at Dubai International Stadium.

SRH scored 164 runs with 5 wickets loss with the help of the partnerahip of two youngsters Priyam Garg- 51 runs not out and Abhishek Sharma- 31 runs in 26 balls and set the target for 165 for CSK. Unlike previous IPL seasons, the yellow army seemed to have struggling with chasing the given numbers on the board.

MS Dhoni even after giving three back to back boundaries to Abdul Samad in the last over, couldn’t lead the team to the victory and CSK ended up scoring 153 runs with 5 wickets loss.

Kings XI Punjab won the toss and chose to bowl. The match is taking place at Sheikh Zayed Stadium where captain Rohit Sharma becomes the third batsman to score 5,000 runs in IPL after Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli. Quinton de Kock scored a duck after he got clean bowled by Sheldon Cottrell in the first over. And of course that partnership catch of Glenn Maxwell and James Neesham from Rohit Sharma’s bat during 16th over is unforgettable!! MI has now scored 191 runs with four wickets loss after Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard’s back to back sixes and boundaries in last few overs . KXIP now have to chase 192 but unfortunately, the game just ended up becoming the nightmare for KXIP as they could only scored 143 runs with 8 wickets loss. Kieron Pollard wins the player of the match title after obtaining 47* runs in 20 balls.

Match 12 of 56: Kolkata Knight Riders beat Rajasthan Royals by 37 runs.

Rajasthan Royals got its first defeat after their match against Kolkata Knight Riders and now none of the team in IPL 2020 is undefeated. Young players like Shubman Gill and Shivam Mavi have overshadowed the senior players Andre Russell and Pat Cummins.

The match took place at Dubai International Stadium where RR won the toss and chose to field first. KKR scored 174 runs with 6 wickets loss in the first innings and RR got defeated by making it to 137 with the loss of 9 wickets. KKR’s Shivam Mavi holds the man of the match award as he earned 2 wickets in 20 balls for the team with the economy rate of 5.

Match 11 of 56: Sunrisers Hyderabad beats Delhi Capitals by 14 runs.

Delhi Capitals have lost their first match in the 13th season of Indian Premiere League whereas Sundisers Hyderabad got their first victory of the season after beating DC by 15 runs at Sheikh Zayed Stadium. DC won the toss and chose to bowl. SRH scored 162 runs with the loss of 4 wickets in their innings and DC had to chase 163 runs to win the match. However, DC could only scored 147 runs with 7 wickets loss.

SRH’s right-arm bowler Rashid Khan becomes man of the match after taking 3 wickets in 14 balls in 4 overs with an economy rate of 3.5.

Match 10 of 56: Royal Challengers Bangalore beats Mumbai Indians in a Super Over.

This was a quite nail-biting match where both the teams were giving each other a very tough competition. A part from that we also got to see the rising stars of cricket: Ishan Kishan (MI) who scored 99 runs in 58 balls in an amazing partnership with Kieron Pollard- 60* runs in 24 balls and Devdutt Padikkal (RCB), who made 54 runs in 40 balls. The match took place at Dubai International Stadium.

But the story became interesting when MI set the hard target for RCB after they scored 201 runs with 5 wickets loss. But still RCB managed to score 201 with 3 wickets loss and 11 runs in the super over where captain Virat Kohli finishes off with a four.

Mr. 360 degree AB de Villiers becomes star of the match who scored 55* runs in 24 balls and 6 runs in 4 balls in super over.

Match 9 of 56: Rajasthan Royals defeat Kings XI Punjab by 4 wickets (3 balls left).

Rajasthan Royals is running on a great track as they scored the highest score in IPL 2020 till now i.e. 226/6 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium and made a challenging target for Kings XI Punjab to chase off, but unfortunately KXIP could only score 223/2 and lost by 4 wickets. However, West Indies player Nicholas Pooran’s epic effort for saving the ball from the six hit by RR’s Man of the match Sanju Samson who scored 85* runs in 42 balls.

Match 8 of 56: Kolkata Knight Riders beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets (12 balls left).

SRH won the toss but not the game from KKR at Sheikh Zayed Stadium. Young players have outshined the seniors in today’s match. KKR captain Dinesh Karthik scored a duck in 3 balls by Rashid Khan while Shubhman Gill scored 70* runs in 62 balls and wins man of the match title.

The Orange Army set the target for 143 runs by scoring 142 runs with 4 wickets loss and Kolkata Knight Riders made 145/3 with 12 balls left.

Match 7 of 56: Delhi Capitals defeat Chennai Super Kings by 44 runs.

Youngsters have dominated the seniors today at Dubai International Stadium. CSK won the toss and decided to bowl. DC’s opening batsman Prithvi Shaw played a tremendous inning by scoring 64 runs in 43 balls in his partnership with Shikhar Dhawan- 35 (27).

At the end of the innings, DC scored 175/3 and set the target for 176 runs for CSK. The Yellow Army only scored 131 runs with 7 wickets loss. Prithvi Shaw holds the man of the match title.

Match 6 of 56: Kings XI Punjab beats Royal Challengers Bangalore by 97 runs.

Captain KL Rahul was a complete performer in today’s match as he played the massive innings of 132* runs in 69 balls on the ground of Dubai International Stadium and gets an orange cap as well as Man of the match title.

Kings XI Punjab recorded 206/3 on scoreboard whereas Royal Challengers Bangalore only made 109 runs all out in 17 overs. Hence, defeated by 97 runs.

A part from that, Virat Kohli’s two catches drop from KL Rahul’s bat cannot be ignored.

Match 5 of 56: Mumbai Indians defeat Kolkata Knight Riders by 49 runs.

Captain Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah shines after their victory from KKR at Sheikh Zayed Stadium. Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets of Eoin Morgan and Andre Russell in 32 balls with an economy rate of 8 and Rohit Sharma scored 80 runs including 6 sixes and 3 boundaries in 54 balls against Knight Riders and wins the man of the match title.

MI scored 195 runs with 5 wickets loss and KKR scored 146 runs with the fall of 9 wickets.

Match 4 of 56: Rajasthan Royals defeat Chennai Super Kings by 16 runs.

CSK won the toss and elected to bowl. The partnership of Sanju Samson- 70(32) and captain Steve Smith- 69(47) has ruled on the grounds of Sharjah Cricket Stadium. But the match also became a little dramatic when Captain MS Dhoni slammed the umpire C. Shamshuddn when Deepak Chahar appealed for the caught behind against Tom Curran after Dhoni claimed it a catch behind the stumps during the 18th over. After that, Shamshuddin gave it out after consulting with square leg umpire and DRS review.

RR scored 216 runs with 7 wickets loss and CSK scored 200 runs with 6 wickets loss. Sanju Samson becomes man of the match.

Match 3 of 56: Royal Challengers Bangalore beats Sunrisers Hyderabad by 10 runs.

SRH won the toss and decided to bowl. It was a great victory for RCB at their first game in IPL 2020 against SRH at Dubai International Stadium. All thanks to the amazing batting partnership between RCB opener Devdutt Padikkal- 56(42) and AB de Villiers- 51(30) and Yuzvendra Chahal who took the important wicket of SRH’s Jonny Bairstow- 61(43) in 15th over.

Yuzvendra Chahal became Man of the Match by taking 3 wickets in 18 runs with an economy rate of 4.5.

RCB scored 163/5 whereas SRH scored 153 runs all out.

Match 2 of 56: Delhi Capitals defeat Kings XI Punjab in Super over (4 balls left).

KXIP won the toss and decided to bowl. The match took place at Dubai International Stadium.

It was a quite nail- biting match after DC’s Kagiso Rabada’s powerful bowling in the death over to save 1 run from KXIP. As a result, both the teams had to play the Super Over. Kings XI Punjab managed to score 157 runs till the last ball but the game tied. Later on, DC scored 3 runs in the and KXIP scored 2 runs with 2 wickets loss in the Super over.

DC scored 157/8 and 3/0 in super over and KXIP obtained 157/8 and 2/2 in super over.

Australian cricketer Marcus Stoinis wins Player of the Match title by scoring 53 runs in 21 balls and taking 2 wickets in 29 runs (3 overs) with an economy rate of 9.67.

CSK won the toss and elected to field. A great batting partnership can be seen between CSK’s right- handed batsman Ambati Rayudu- 71(48) and Faf du Plessis- 58(44).
