‘Intercourse’ Not Allowed! CBFC New Warning to Imtiaz Ali And Shah Rukh Khan!
Adults don’t have sex, right!
Just when you think that CBFC or commonly known as Censor Board had put enough restrictions to filmmakers and will not increase the list of banned materials in movies, they throw new curve ball at filmmakers faces.
The second sanskari person of our country Pahlaj Nihalani (Only behind Aloknath) and his team has raised their concern over the use of word ‘INTERCOURSE’ in the trailer of upcoming Shah Rukh Khan’s romantic comedy ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’.
As two adults talking about sex or precisely ‘Intercourse’ is too much for people in India. It’s 1917 for God’s sake!
In the promo, Sejal (Anushka) is seen handling over something which she called ‘Indemnity Bond’ to Harry (Shah Rukh Khan), saying there won’t be any legal trouble if the couple ends up having intercourse.
Pahlaj Nihalni told to The Quint that the trailer has given the U/A certificate after makers agreed to remove the ‘intercourse’ word from it which they are yet to.
Though makers can run the promo on Internet without any cuts, they still need a CBFC clearance to air it on television.
Many TV channels downloaded the promo through the internet and ran it, to which Pahlaj Nihalani says he’ll take an action against those channels.
‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ is scheduled to release on August 4, later this year. It stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead and is directed by Imtiaz Ali.
