India VS Australia 2nd Test: India Beat Australia in Boxing Day Test by 8 Wickets to level series at 1-1.

Team India (326 and 70/2 ) have leveled the four-match series 1-1 after winning the second test against Australia (195, 200) in Melbourne by 8 Wickets.

Opener Shubhman Gill and Rahane kept their composure after Pujara and Agarwal lost their wickets as India chased down an easy total of 70 runs to win the Boxing Day Test on Day 4.

The Melbourne Cricket Ground proves to be the winning venue for India for the second broke in a row as India won the Melbourne Test during their 2018-19 tour as well.

Captain Ajinkya Rahane was the hero this time by scoring a brilliant century in the first innings. Bowlers led by Bumrah and Ashwin too dominated the show by bowling out Australia in both the innings. Debutant Mohammad Siraj picking up 5 Wickets in his debut test and Gill scoring 45, 35* runs respectively, augurs well for Indian cricket.

This win marks India’s 52 away Test victory and their 29th Win in 100 Head Head matches against Australia.

After the debacle in Adelaide, India needed to boost their confidence and they did exactly by winning the match in Melbourne comfortably.

Ajinkya Rahane has been named the man of the match for his performance with the bat and while leading the side in Melbourne. Rahane scored 112 and 27 runs in both innings for India.
