In Ellipsis Entertainment’s next untitled film, Vidya Balan will romance Pratik Gandhi later this year!

Though the title of the movie has not been decided yet sources says that Vidya Balan will work with Ellipsis Entertainment’s Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar, who co-produced her 2017 comedy drama Tumhari Sulu. According to reports, the project is a realistic slice of drama film about two couples. Shirsha Guha Thaurta, an ad filmmaker who previously worked with Ram Gopal Varma on his films Rann, Phoonk, and Contract, will make her directorial debut with the film.

Pratik Gandhi, who rose to prominence following the success of the web series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, has reportedly been hired to romance Vidya. In the film, Vidya and Pratik will play a couple. The second couple’s actors are yet to be cast in the film, which is said to be about two couples. The opposite couple’s actors are yet to be cast by the producers.

The film will attempt to deconstruct social patriarchy. Later this year, after the lockdown regulations are lifted and the pandemic situation improves, the film will hit theatres. The 45-day shoot will take place in Mumbai and southern India.

On the work front, Vidya was recently seen in Sherni which won the hearts of many! Vidya will also play Indira Gandhi in an untitled web series. Sagarika Ghose’s biography Indira – India’s Most Powerful Prime Minister will serve as the basis for this series.
