The actress had opened up about the time she had talked with Ranbir for the first time and had also stated her willingness to marry her forever crush. Karan had asked Alia to pick on the possible grooms if any swayamvar happensfor her and she had to name three men from Bollywood only. Her first pick turned out to be her reality, as her first name was of Ranbir Kapoor, followed by Salman Khan and then Aditya Roy Kapur. We are sure, it is Alia’s shiddat towards Ranbir Kapoor that made them a couple.

One such instance was when Alia had won the Filmfare Best Actress award for her performance in Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi, the actress had accepted her award by confessing her love for her beau, Ranbir. Alia had gone up on the stage and had said, “Tonight is all about love; there, my special one, I love you Ranbir,” while Ranbir could not stop smiling. When in an interview, Alia was asked if it was an announcement of sorts? To this, Alia had responded, “That was not an announcement. And I don’t need to defend what I did because it was very personal.”
Talking about Alia-Ranbir’s love story, it was in the year 2018 when Ranbir had decided to let the world know about the love of his life. In an interview with the GQ magazine, the actor had said, “It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to over speak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space. As an actor, as a person, Alia is — what’s the right word — flowing right now. When I see her work, when I see her act, even in life, what she gives is something that I’m aspiring to for myself.”
