Today is Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s birthday, few days ago, Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala has been shot dead in Jawaharke village of Mansa district in Punjab. Sidhu Moosewala has given many Punjabi hit songs, but he was known as the most controversial Punjabi singer. He is also accused of promoting gun culture in Punjab. He was often embroiled in controversies due to his songs. One of his songs had provoked Punjabis and due to this there was a lot of controversy. Hurting Sikh sentiments

Accusing Sidhu Musewala of hurting Sikh sentiments, there was a demand for his arrest. He was accused of allegedly misusing the name of 18th century Sikh warrior Mai Bhago in one of his songs. Sidhu had also apologized to everyone for this.

Support for Khalistan


In December 2020, Sidhu Musewala supported Khalistani separatist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale in his song ‘Punjab – My Motherland’. The song also included some clips of a speech given by a Khalistan supporter, Bulher Singh Balbir, in 1980.

Punjabis were called traitors in the song


Sidhu Musewala released the song ‘Scapegot’ after he lost the assembly elections on a Congress ticket from Mansa. Through this song, he took out his anger on the voters and asked who is the traitor. This song of his had provoked all Punjabis. He had said that I branded a backward area and he defeated me.This song of Sidhu Moosewala was strongly opposed by the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). AAP spokesperson Neel Garg had asked the Congress party to apologize for calling Punjabis traitors. At the same time, an AAP leader had said that Musewala has lost his mind in arrogance. Punjab has voted from its heart, in such a situation it is shameful to call them a traitor.

Promoting Gun culture

Sidhu Moosewala, who exaggerated gun and violence in his songs, often faced criticism from the people for this. For which many times an FIR was written in his name. For instance, during the period of covid 2020, the photo of Sidhu Musewala firing with an AK-47 gun at the firing range became quite viral on social media. A case was registered against him regarding this. Later, expressing the same issue, he made a song with AK-47. Sidhu Musewala got the most recognition from this song from his super hit song So High. This song has 477 million views on YouTube. Let us tell you that this was the song, due to which Sidhu became a superstar.
