The cast lineup for ‘Ms. Marvel,’ the Disney Plus series starring Marvel’s first Muslim superhero, has been published on IMDB, with Fawad Khan’s name also tied to the production. Even Farhan Akhtar has stirred the same news.

The senior journalist of BBC tweeted “Wow! Fawad Khan set to appear in Ms Marvel – the Disney+ series about Marvel’s first titular Muslim character. He’s listed on the show’s official IMDB page. Farhan Akhtar, Nimra Bucha and Samina Ahmad are reportedly part of the cast too. Marvel yet to comment. Amazing if true!”

Turns out the IMDB page has actually listed Fawad and is mentioned as a character named “Hasan”. However, neither Fawad Khan nor the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) have officially confirmed the news.

Bisha K. Ali created the six-part Ms. Marvel miniseries. Ms. Marvel, a 16-year-old Muslim Pakistani-American from Jersey City, is the protagonist of the series. She develops shape-shifting abilities while writing Captain Marvel fanfiction.

According to sources, the new series would feature Bollywood actor-producer Farhan Akhar, as well as two more Pakistani performers, Nimra Bucha and Samina Ahmad.

The series has been developed by Bisha K. Ali and include stars like Iman Vellani, Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer and Nimra Bucha.

The miniseries was shot in Atlanta, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, and Thailand, completed shooting in May. Ms. Marvel, a Marvel Studios Original Series, will premiere on Disney Plus in late 2021.
