#FarmerProtest: Bombardment of water splashes and tear gas shells; pictures asking questions

Farmers’ organizations had called for a ‘Delhi Chalo’ march on Thursday to protest against the three agricultural laws of the central government. This march started from Punjab was stopped at the border of Haryana state.

It became violent after being stopped on this march.

During this time the police used water cannon and also released tear gas shells.


During the violence, the protesters lifted the barricade and threw it into the river.

There are also reports of two government and a private vehicle being vandalized on the Jind-Patiala highway.

Farmers from Punjab and Haryana are traveling in different vehicles to the national capital.

Delhi Police has increased security along the border of the national capital.

On the day on Thursday, the administration got a strong arrangement to stop the farmers on a bridge on the Punjab-Haryana border.

Farmers from UP, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Kerala and Punjab are planning protests for the next two months from today.
