Deepika Padukone Cradles Baby Bump, Holds Ranveer Singh’s Hand While Voting in Mumbai Lok Sabha Polls
Bollywood power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were spotted casting their votes at Pali Hill, Mumbai, during the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections. The couple, who are expecting their first child together, made a stylish appearance in matching white shirts and black sunglasses, braving the sweltering heat to fulfill their civic duty.
Videos of the parents-to-be outside the polling booth have gone viral on social media, showing Deepika holding onto Ranveer’s hand while he protectively shielded her from the crowd and media. In one clip, Ranveer is seen carefully guiding Deepika, who is visibly pregnant, as she gets into their car.
Another clip captures the joyous moment when Ranveer stops to hug a fan before crossing the road. Other celebrities like Manoj Bajpayee and Shabana Raza were also seen voting in Mumbai.
Vidya Balan, who was cheerful despite the heat, was heard saying, “Aaj vote karne ke liye paseena beh gaya!” Deepika and Ranveer announced their pregnancy on February 29, sharing their excitement on Instagram with the news that their baby is due in September.
The couple, who met on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film “Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela” and fell in love, dated for six years before tying the knot on November 14, 2018, at Lake Como in Italy. They have since worked together in films like “Finding Fanny,” “Padmaavat,” and “Bajirao Mastani,” and celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary last year in Belgium.
