BJP Announces First list for 2024 Lok Sabha Elections!

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has disclosed its initial list of candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Spanning 16 states and 2 Union Territories, comprising a total of 195 nominees. Among the featured candidates are 34 ministers hailing from both Union and state levels, as well as the Lok Sabha Speaker.

BJP 2024 Nominee Highlights

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to contest from Varanasi, while Home Minister Amit Shah has been nominated for Gandhinagar. And Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya for Porbandar. Additionally, Sarbananda Sonowal will be contesting from Dibrugarh.

The first list includes a noteworthy representation of 28 women and 47 young leaders across various constituencies in 16 states and Union Territories. The BJP’s initial list specifically unveils candidates for Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Delhi, Goa, and Tripura.

Notable inclusions feature Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. Who will be participating in the Lok Sabha polls from Guna in Madhya Pradesh. BJP re-nominates Kiren Rijiju and Tapir Gao to contest two Arunachal Pradesh seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

In the national capital, BJP has strategically positioned Bansuri Swaraj for the New Delhi seat. Kamaljit Sehrawat for West Delhi, and Ramvir Singh Bidhuri for South Delhi. Other key nominations include Praveen Khadelwal for the Chandni Chowk seat and Manoj Tiwari for North East Delhi.
