Gurdwara Bangla Sahib is the most prominent Sikh gurudwara, or Sikh house of worship situated in the heart of New Delhi’s famous Connaught Place in the Capital city of India.
Bangla Sahib is already a very know and must visit place in delhi since centuries. It has lot of exceptional specification like the mind calming worship, spiritual aura along with the delicious langar for all. Now, Bangla Sahib trust has came-up with a heart touching initiative setting an example for all other big spiritual religious trusts. Bangla Sahib is conducting free medical all body check-up for the poor and economically weaker section to help them getting rid of their diseases and get a best ethical treatment as well.
This sacred shrine has association with the eighth Sikh Guru’s, and the the pool inside its complex, known as the “Sarovar“, is considered holy by Sikhs and is known as “Amrit”. The building was built by Sikh General, Sardar Bhagel Singh in 1783, who supervised the construction of nine Sikh shrines in Delhi in the same year, during the reign of Mughal Emperor, Shah Alam II.
