AUS VS IND T20 Series Update (2nd T20) – India defeats Australia by 6 Wickets.

Hardik Pandya takes visitors home as India beat Australia by 6 wickets in 2nd T20I to clinch the three-match series with a 2-0 lead at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Batting first Australia posted a mammoth total of 194 /5. Mathew Wade (58) got the home team off to a rocking start before Steve Smith (46) shepherded the second half of the chase.

T Natarajan was the pickup bowler for India by picking up two crucial wickets (2/20) and the only Indian Bowler not to be smashed for runs.

Chasing the target, team India’s fiery Wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul (30) and veteran Shikhar Dhawan (52) stitched a solid 56 run opening stand to help their team get a dreamy start inside the Powerplay. Virat Kohli also ensured that the chase was on a smooth journey by scoring crucial 40 runs. Kohli then fell just as the final part of the chase approached, after which Hardik Pandya (42*) took over and smashed India home with 2 balls to spare.

Hardik Pandya was declared the man of the match.

AUS VS IND T20 Series Update (1st T20) – India defeats Australia by 11 runs.

Jadeja, Rahul, Chahal, and Natarajan shine as India beat Australia by 11 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the T20 series at the Manuka Oval, Canberra.

Batting first India posted a decent total of 161/7 with the help of a half-century from KL Rahul and a cameo by Ravindra Jadeja who remained unbeaten on 44 off 23 balls helped India to post a challenging total. Moises Henriques was the most successful Australian bowler by picking three crucial wickets.

Chasing the Target, Australia could only score 150/7 with captain Aaron Finch top-scoring with 35. Leg Spinner Yujvendra Chahal and T Natarajan were the stars with the ball for India sharing three wickets each. Natarajan’s wickets included that of Glenn Maxwell and Darcy Short while Chahal the concussion substitute for Ravindra Jadeja dismissed Aaron Finch, Steve Smith, and Mathew Wade and helped India to grab victory.

Yujvendra Chahal was declared the man of the match.

AUS VS IND ODI Series Update (3rd ODI) – India defeats Australia by 13 runs.

Pandya, Jadeja stars as India defeat Australia by 13 runs in the third One Day International in Canberra on Wednesday to avoid a series whitewash.

Batting first India scored a decent total of 302 for five wickets with spectacular performances from both the all-rounders, Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja.

While opener Shikhar Dhawan showcased a rare batting failure, opener Gill failed to cash in on his start as the youngster departed after a gritty 33 off 39 balls. Team India’s go-to man and Skipper Kohli once again steadied the ship for the visitors by notching up another half-century.

After Kohli got out, Hardik Pandya tormented the potent Australian batting attack with a sublime knock. Counterattacking the Australian bowlers with his batting pyrotechnics, Pandya ended up smashing an unbeaten 92 off 76 runs.

Middle-order batsman Ravindra Jadeja played a perfect second-fiddle to Pandya with an unbeaten 66-run knock. Pandya and Jadeja also shattered the 21-year-old record with a memorable 150-run stand against Australia. Chasing the competitive total, Australia suffered an early setback as Marnus Labuschagne became Natarajan’s first victim in his debut game for India.

While Natarajan removed the accidental opener, Shardul scalped the jackpot wicket of Steve Smith to put Australia on the back foot. Though Australia staged an impressive fightback courtesy of Finch (75) and Glenn Maxwell’s (59) crucial knocks, the visitors succumbed to pressure as they failed to scale the 303-run target in 50 overs. With the win, India has not only avoided a humiliating ODI series whitewash but the Men In Blue have also earned crucial points in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League.

Hardik Pandya was declared the man of the match and Steven Smith was declared as the man of the series.

AUS VS IND ODI Series Update (2nd ODI) – Australia defeated India by 51 runs.

Steven Smith led the way with another quick century as Australia beat India by 51 runs in the Second One Day International at the Sydney Cricket Ground to clinch the three-match series. This is the fifth straight defeat for India in ODIs.

Batting first Australia got off to a solid start, with openers David Warner and Aaron Finch putting up 142 runs in the first 23 overs. Steven Smith then took charge after the openers departed in quick succession and scored a brilliant consecutive century. Smith got together with Marnus Labuschagne who also scored a spectacular half-century took the team close to 300 at the end of 40th over itself. After Smith fell got out ,Maxwell applied the finishing touches with a quick fifty and led Australia to post a total of 389 /4.

Chasing the big target of 390, India got off to a cautious start, briefly picked the momentum but soon lost both openers Shikhar Dhawan and Mayank Agarwal in quick succession inside the Powerplay Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer then steadied things with a 93 run stand but Iyer got out on 38, and Virat also fell on 89.

While KL Rahul did stage a fightback during his 76 runs but his wicket also meant it was mere formalities from there.Hardik and Jadeja’s sixth-wicket partnership reaped 33 runs but once both fell, Australia cleaned the tail with ease and won the match by 51 runs.Pat Cummins was the best bowler for Australia today as he picked up 3 crucial wickets to bent India’s inning.

Steven Smith was again declared the man of the match.

AUS VS IND ODI Series Update (1st ODI) – Australia defeated India by 66 runs.

Australia’s limited -over captain Aaron Finch (114 of 124 ) and former Skipper Steve Smith’s (105 off 66) centuries guide the hosts to a convincing 66 run victory over Virat Kohli’s Indian Team in the 1st ODI played at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

Batting first, Australia posted their highest ODI total against India -(374/6) with skipper Aaron Finch and top batsman Steve Smith smashing hundreds. Later on, Glenn Maxwell played an entertaining cameo to help Aussies to post a big monstrous total. Smith’s century was the third-fastest ODI ton by an Australian Batsman.

For India Mohammad Shani bowled a decent spell by picking up 3 wickets to restrict Australia below 400 scores.Other than Shami Indian bowlers had a forgettable outing today.

Chasing the target, India for off to a flier as Mitchell Starc conceded 20 runs in the first over The openers Mayank Agarwal and Shikha Dhawan looked in control of the proceedings as they added 50 runs partnership before Mayank was dismissed by Josh Hazelwood.

Hazlewood continued to test the Indian batsman with bouncers as he went on to dismiss Virat Kohli (21 off 21) and Shreyas Iyer (2). Kohli was earlier dropped by Adam Zampa but it did not prove to be costly.

India looked out of the contest with the scoreboard reading 101/4 after KL Rahul (12 off 15) was dismissed by Adam Zampa. Dhawan was then joined by Hardik Pandya and the pair brought India back in the game by adding 128 runs for the fifth wicket. Zampa went on to remove Dhawan (74 off 86) and Pandya (90 off 76) in quick succession to bring Australia back in the game. While it was Hazlewood who dismantled the top-order, it was Zampa who also found some form with a good four-wicket haul.

At last, Australia beat India by 66 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series.Steven Smith was declared the man of the match.
