Amitabh Bachchan shares throwback picture of ‘mile-long queue’ for his movie Don, says ‘kya din the woh’

June 17, 2022 (New Delhi): Bollywood’s emperor Amitabh Bachchan is one of the stars of Hindi cinema, whose films used to have long lines of people outside the theater to watch. Big B is very active on social media and often shares his throwback pictures. Recently, the actor shared a similar picture during the release of his 1978 film Don. In this picture, long lines of people are seen outside the theatre.

Actually, Amitabh Bachchan has shared a black and white picture on his Instagram account. This picture is from Exelier Cinema in Mumbai, during the release of ‘Don’. The advance booking of the film was going on at that time. With this picture he wrote, ‘Advance booking of my film Don..! And they used to say that the queues were a mile long… Released 44 years ago in 1978. In the same year these films also came, ‘Don’, ‘Kasam Vaade’, ‘Trishul’, ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’, ‘Ganga Ki Saugandh’…5 blockbusters in a year!! Some lasted for more than 50 weeks… what were the days too.’

Talking about Amitabh Bachchan’s workfront, soon he will be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s film ‘Brahmastra’. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Saurav Gurjar in the lead roles. The film will hit the theaters on September 9. Apart from this, he is also doing ‘Project K’ with Deepika Padukone and Prabhas.
