Amid 79 Yashoda Maa lost their ‘Krishna’ in Gorakhpur, U.P. CM calls for “Grand Celebration of Janmashtami”
Amid the uproar in the Uttar Pradesh over the deaths of 79 children due to stop in oxygen supply, Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, rather taking cognizance into the matter, went one step ahead of a grand celebration of Janmashtami celebration across the state. In the order passed by the state’s CM to the state Director General of Police, Sulkhan Singh, instructing him to organize a grand celebration of Janmashtami across the state.
The letter said, “It’s noteworthy that such celebrations were halted in the past. Krishna Janmashtami is an important festival and the police should organise it in a traditional and grand way.”
The letter has the date of 13th of August, two days after when it was reported that 60 innocent children died at BRD Medical College Gorakhpur, Adityanath’s hometown. His government came to the firing end of the opposition on failing to handle the situation.
In his visit to the hospital with Union Health Minister J.P Nadda, he ordered the removal of Dr Kafeel Ahmad who single handedly saved scores of lives by personally paying for the oxygen cylinders.
On Monday, the AIIMS Residents’ Doctors Association had strongly condemned Adityanath’s decision adding that Dr Ahmad was being a scapegoat.
Adityanath’s official order instructing the state’s police chief to hold grand celebrations of Janmashtami has evoked angry reactions at a time when 79 mothers had lost their own little Krishnas.
