5 October 2022 (New Delhi): The month of October marks the start of festivities in India, and the festive cheer has arrived in Noida as well, with beautiful Ramlilas being organised in the city. Kickstarting the festival, sector 46 Ramila, started on September 26, 2022, and will go on till Vijaydashmi (October 5, 2022). Here this time, Dussehra will be celebrated in an interesting way. During the pandemic, Dussehra wasn’t celebrated properly in the country. But now, on this Dussehra, people are back in Ramila with full enthusiasm.

Eco-friendly Dussehra is to be celebrated

Dussehra is an important Hindu festival. The burning of Ravana’s effigy is a long-established tradition, and crackers are always used, which causes pollution to the environment. But in order to avoid pollution, Ravana’s effigy will be burnt with green crackers, which are eco-friendly and not harmful to our environment. Members of the Shri Ram Lakhan Ramleela organisation committee of Sector 46 have set up a grand 40-by-105-foot stage. Vipin Agarwal, President of the committee, informs us that 75 artists have performed and there is a capacity of nearly 5000 people at this time. People from all over Noida are gathering here to witness tales from the Ramayana at Sector 46 Ramleela. Almost 500 community members were seen on the first day of the Ramleela.

Many big personalities, including film stars and politicians, participate here on the occasion of Dussehra. This year, the effigy of Ravana will be burnt at the Red Fort grounds at the hands of popular South artist Prabhas. Along with the actor, President Draupadi Murmu and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will also be present here.

NLC Exclusive Interview with Vipin Agarwal, President of Shri Ram Lakhan Ramleela Organisation

How important is Ramlila, especially in the post-COVID world ?

Ramlila is a Sanatan Dharma symbol that has existed since time immemorial. Our objective is to educate the next generation about Ram.

How does your team begin preparations for Ramlila?

A: First, we must book Ramlila Maidan, and then we must seek permission from the police. When it comes to getting permission, there are numerous challenges.

Ramlila takes place at many places in Noida. How is your Ram Lakhan Dharmik committee different?

A: There are no distinctions; everyone has their own resources, their own land; our land measures 50000 square meters.

How many visitors have come so far?

Every year, 8,000 to 10,000 visitors come to see Ramlila.

How exciting will this Ramlila be?
Ramlila will be very exciting this time. We have prepared Ravana with green firecrackers, and green firecrackers will also be used in all of the fireworks. This step was taken with the environment’s safety in mind.

What message would you like to convey to your audience?

The only message I have is that today’s youth should be aware of and spread Sanatan Dharma. Look at Rama and Lakshmana’s brotherhood, as well as Ravana and Vibhishan’s relationship. Ravana’s arrogance was initially left to his brother Vibhishana. So we should never be arrogant.

PM Modi and Amit Shah gave Dussehra greetings

PM Modi tweeted, saying, “Many congratulations to all citizens on Vijayadashami, the festival of victory. I hope that this auspicious occasion brings everyone courage, restraint, and positive energy. “

Amit Shah tweeted on the occasion of Dussehra and said, “Heartly congratulations to all the citizens on ‘Vijayadashmi’. “May this festival of victory of good over evil, religion over unrighteousness, and truth over untruth infuse new energy and inspiration into everyone’s life.”
