Bonding glue with Mahi intensifies amidst rumours: Virat

Bonding strengthens with the time and the inner bonds draw each-other more closure. Talking about their bonding glue, the cricketer Virat Kohli proudly buzzes about his friendship with Mahendra Singh Dhoni, “A lot of people try to plug in stories of the rift between us but we form bonds and no external force has been able to affect this.”

Brushing aside all rumours, Virat said how the bonding between them has grown intense with the passage of time.

Amidst all gossips created by the rumormongers, the best part is we both pay deaf ears to all those articles. And the crowd wonders to find us together, ‘wasn’t there rift between the two’.

“We laugh our heart out; we didn’t know there was one,” Kohli narrated during an episode of web-series ‘Breakfast With Champions’.

“I once told him a funny story of my U-17 days. It was my academy’s match. There was this new boy and I threw the ball at him and asked ‘kahaan se’ (meaning from which end will you bowl). The boy answered: ‘Bhaiya Najafgarh se!’

“When I recollected this incident and told MS about it, he started laughing and this was happening as the match was on,” Kohli said.

“I don’t think I have ever come across a better cricketing brain just in terms of planning than Dhoni and his support during my initial years of captaincy has made our bonding grow stronger,” Kohli added.

Kohli went to the extent of stating that at the crease he has blind faith in Dhoni’s abilities.

However, witnessing Mahi’s fading performance, voices in Indian cricket are growing loud to replace MS Dhoni with Virat Kohli as captain of the limited-overs teams.

The contrast in the leadership styles of Kohli and Dhoni was stark and glaring; where Dhoni haunted by poor form and Kohli became a beacon of hope.
This is sure to excite our nerves to see how Virat takes over the time.
