Woow ! Delhi bus stand are going to be air-conditioned now.
Summer is one of the worst time to travel by public transport, as you have to wait for hours and hours at the bus stand to board your respective bus.During that period commuters are the worst victims of Delhi’s scorching summers.
Now this will be history, as Daikin Airconditioning India Pvt. Ltd. has come out with an initiative to provide a one-stop solution for the rising temperature
They have installed their first fully air-conditioned bus stop shelter at Lajpat Nagar on 13 May.
Daikin India joined hands with the Delhi government to bring this AC bus stand to life as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, This pilot was launched on an experimental basis, a well thought-out strategy for the company’s fresh phase of investment, which can be seen as a blessing in disguise for the heat stricken passengers of DTC (Delhi Transport Corporation) buses.
Anuj Mangla who is the Divisional Manager Marketing of Daikin India told a web portal “It is a prototype and while we want to install more such air-conditioned shelters for bus commuters across Delhi, we want to see how this pans out first. Our aim is to monitor the response for a while. In just three days we have managed to gain public recognition with surprised commuters sharing pictures on social media. I believe this will be a successful campaign considering the heat that we are experiencing in NCR,”
The bus commuters applauded the initiative taken by Delhi Government and Daikin India.
