IPS Aparna Kumar, who became the first lady IPS officer to scale mount everest is ready to add another feather in her cap . as now her eyes are set on Mount Denali in Alaska which is in the North America Island.The height of the island is around 20237 feet.
On this journey CM Yogi Adityanath, Health Minister Siddharth Nath Singh and DGP Sulkhan Singh has handed the Indian Flag, UP Police Flag and Pac Flag to the IPS officer Aparna Kumar.
Aparna, a 2002 batch IPS officer, has already scaled Mount Everest in her third attempt. In her previous two attempts, an avalanche in 2014 and an earthquake in 2015 prevented her from completing her quest.
In 2014, she scaled Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the highest peak on the African continent. This feat was followed by climbing atop Carstensz Pyramid peak in the West Papuan province of Indonesia, the highest in the Australia and Oceania region.
She has also been conferred by the Rani Laxmi Bai Puraskar by UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in 2015.
