Vin Diesel is in India and he gets AWESOME ‘Baarati’ style welcome!

Omg! Whatta welcome that be! As promised, Deepika Padukone has finally managed to get Hollywood sensation Vin Diesel to India. Yes! They’re here!! The duo along with their xXx: Return Of Xander Cage director DJ Caruso just landed in the city and trust me, their welcome couldn’t have got any grander than this. I mean, although Deepika and Vin didn’t dress up traditional as per speculations but as soon as they stepped out of the Mumbai airport, there was a typical line up of a maharashtrian style welcome with Nashik Dhol playing in the background. Oh! Now this is how you show Hollywood what Indian culture is all about isn’t it? One look at this above picture and you will know what we’re trying to say.

No wonder Vin looks so excited about his first visit to India that he actually walked out of the airport doing a Facebook Live. I mean, he’s recorded the entire grand welcome right from the airport till he sat inside his car. The video even shows a bit where he is talking about the tilak applied on his forehead on his arrival, asking Deepika what is its significance. To which Deepika is heard replying saying, “It’s called bindi a part of our Indian tradition. When a woman wears it, it’s also called her third eye.”

Talking about Vin Diesel’s 2-days stay in Mumbai, a source close to Deepika’s team revealed, “As the host, Deepika wants nothing short of a perfect welcome, so that Diesel has a warm, enjoyable stay here. He will be introduced to mouth-watering Indian delicacies too. Of the many things on the list, one of them is a big party to be hosted by Deepika, with the top guns of Bollywood in attendance. As of now, we have given him two options for his stay — top hotels in Colaba and central Mumbai. The latter would be ideal since it’s closer to the multiplex where the movie will premiere.”
