Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Sam Bahadur’ Triumphs at the Box Office, Collects ₹33.15 Crore Worldwide
In a stellar performance at the box office, Vicky Kaushal’s latest release, ‘Sam Bahadur,’ which hit theaters on December 1, has garnered significant attention and earnings. The film, centered around the real-life story of Sam Manekshaw, the former Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army, has amassed a total of ₹33.15 crore worldwide.
According to reports from industry tracker Sacnilk, the film achieved a net collection of ₹25.55 crore in India within the first three days of its release. On the third day, which fell on a Sunday, ‘Sam Bahadur’ collected an impressive ₹10.3 crore at the Indian box office. The film had earlier collected ₹9 crore on its second day and ₹6.25 crore on its opening day, bringing the weekend total to ₹19.3 crore.
Vicky Kaushal’s portrayal of Sam Bahadur has resonated well with audiences, evident in the film’s 56.33% Hindi occupancy on December 3. Film trade analyst Sumit Kadel praised the movie’s performance, even amid the clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal,’ stating that ‘Sam Bahadur’ held its ground well.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh echoed similar sentiments, noting, “Sam Bahadur stands on its feet, despite a hurricane called #Animal… Riding on glowing word of mouth, the day-wise growth – mainly at key metros – saw the biz witnessing a spike on Days 2 and 3.” Adarsh also remarked on the potential higher weekend numbers if ‘Sam Bahadur’ had not faced competition from ‘Animal.’
