17 October 2022 (New Delhi):The hijab controversy that started in Iran is now spreading all over the world. The Iranian police detained a 22-year-old girl, Mahsa Amini, for not wearing a hijab properly. Ever since the death of the girl in police custody, Iranian women have been protesting on the streets and demanding justice for Mahsa Amini by cutting their hair. Now, Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela has also become a part of the ongoing anti-hijab movement in Iran.
Urvashi got her hair cut
Yes, you heard it right. Urvashi Rautela got her hair cut while protesting against the death of Mehsa Amini. Urvashi Rautela has supported Mehsa Amini and all the women of Iran, who are being victims of misbehavior, by getting a haircut like Iranian women.
Urvashi Rautela has shared her pictures on her Instagram account. The photos are taken from Urvashi’s backside. In the pictures, the actress is seen getting a haircut while sitting on the ground in a blue suit. Pictures of Urvashi getting a haircut in support of Iranian women are doing the rounds on social media.
Urvashi wrote a note
Urvashi has also written a long note while sharing her pictures. The actress wrote: “I got my hair cut. I am getting a haircut in support of Iranian women and girls who were killed in protest for protesting the deaths of Mahsa Amini and 19-year old Ankita Bhandari of Uttarakhand. “
The actress further wrote, “Women all over the world are uniting and protesting against the Iranian government by getting their hair cut. Respect women. Hair is considered a symbol of the beauty of women. By cutting their hair in public, women are showing that they do not care about the beauty standards of society and they will not let anyone decide how to dress, how to behave, or how to live.
The actress also wrote: “When women start considering the issue of one woman as the issue of the entire women’s caste, Then a new force of feminism will appear.
