UPSC Civil Services 2021 results are out, women occupy top-4 slots in UPSC Civil Services Exam.

30 May 2022 , (New Delhi): The final result of UPSC Civil Services Examination 2021 has been released. This time Shruti Sharma has topped the exam. The first four positions are occupied by girls. Ankita Agarwal is second, Gamini Singla and Aishwarya Verma have been fourth. A total of 685 candidates have been selected in the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2021. Of these, 244 belong to the general category. There are 73 EWS, 203 OBC, 105 SC and 60 ST category. Merit of selected candidates has been released on the basis of performance in interview and main examination.

PM Modi has congratulated the successful candidates in UPSC Civil Services Examination 2021. He tweeted, ‘My best wishes to these youths who are starting their administrative career at such a crucial time when we are celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi.’ Along with the successful candidates, he also gave his message to the unsuccessful candidates. To the candidates who missed the selection, he said, ‘I can completely understand the disappointment of those who could not clear the Civil Services Examination but I also know that these are talented youth who will leave their mark in any field and will make India proud. I wish them the best of luck.’

Every year lakhs of candidates aspire to become an IAS, IPS officer, appear in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. This exam is considered to be one of the most challenging competitive exams in the country.

Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Services (IPS) and Indian Foreign Services (IFS), Railway Group A (Indian Railway Accounts Service), Indian Postal Services, Indian Postal Service, Indian Trade Services and other services through UPSC Civil Services is selected for. UPSC Civil Services exam is conducted in three phases- Preliminary, Main exam and Interview. Final merit list is released on the basis of performance in main exam and interview.
