Union minister Nitin Gadkari said the price of petrol will be reduced if we take a blend of 60 per cent ethanol and 40 percent electricity.

Government’s Vision for Ethanol Revolution: Affordable Petrol, Reduced Pollution, and Boosting Farmers’ Income

In Pratapgarh, Rajasthan, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari unveiled the government’s ambitious plan to transform farmers from ‘annadata’ (food providers) to ‘urjadata’ (energy providers). The minister emphasized that all vehicles would soon run on ethanol produced by farmers. By blending 60% ethanol with 40% electricity, petrol prices could be as low as Rs 15 per litre, benefiting the public at large. This move not only promises economic advantages but also aims to reduce pollution levels and curtail import costs. Instead of spending Rs 16 Lakh Crores on imports, this significant sum will now find its way into the pockets of farmers, uplifting their livelihoods and empowering rural communities.
