After getting into controversy by his tweet on Azaan and the recent controversial tweet by the BJP Parliamentarian, Paresh Rawal on Arundhati Roy on her remark on Kashmir, the veteran singer, in his series of tweets, bids adieu to the site. The tweet by the actor-turned-politician, Paresh Rawal doesn’t get down well and faced traction from across the country.

As he bids adieu to his 6.5 million followers on twitter, he says, “You can wake-up someone who’s sleeping, but can not one who is pretending to sleep when he is awake.”

As is the case with most controversies these days, Twitter was divided in their opinion on whether the singer’s twitter account should have been suspended or not.
