Tubelight director Kabir Khan wants to see Salman’s sister Arpita cry, but why?
Kabir Khan’s films always have an emotional connect. He likes to keep it real and close to heart so that he can connect with the audience. Kabul Express addressed a topic of such nature so well. New York, too, was entertaining with a very strong underlying message. Phantom, however, got mired by the wrong timing of its release, but then Bajrangi Bhaijaan was stellar. Same is expected of Tubelight as well. But it seems that the film has left Arpita Khan in tears and Kabir Khan is not apologetic about it at all. In fact, he is glad she cried.
In a Twitter exchange, Arpita made it clear that she has watched Tubelight already and found it difficult to control her tears. Honestly speaking, when I saw the Tinka Tinka song from the film, even I had a lump in my throat. In the song, Salman is missing his brother Sohail who goes to fight in the India-China war and it is really heartbreaking. His tears made our eyes well up too. I can only imagine as to what all emotions the film will make us feel when we watch it. BB had made many cries and Tubelight won’t be any different. Arpita Khan’s tweet proves it. Tubelight releases on June 23 and is eagerly awaited as it will wipe off the slump that has set in at the box office. It stars Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and Chinese actor Zhu Zhu in a pivotal role.
