Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat, the stars of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, have rejected engagement rumours that surfaced online just hours before. The couple has confirmed that they did not exchange rings at a covert ceremony in Vadodara, as previously reported.

What exactly did Raj say?

On Wednesday, Raj turned to Instagram Stories and stated, “Hello Everyone. To be clear, the news you’ve been reading on social media is fake and unsubstantiated. “Team Raj Anadkat.”

What exactly did Munmun say?

Munmun told the Times of India, “This news is ridiculous, fake, and ludicrous.” It contains nothing but lies. And, frankly, I don’t want to devote my efforts to this phoney thing that keeps popping up.” As she stated, this is not the first time rumours about their connection have surfaced online. They initially appeared in 2021, and both stars gave long comments refuting them.

Raj stated at the time, “To everyone who has been continually writing about me, THINK of the repercussions that can come in my life because of your ‘COOKED UP’ (false) articles, especially those regarding my life without my authorization. All creative folks out there, please channel your creativity somewhere else; it will be beneficial to you. May God give them excellent sense.”

Munmun had similar sentiments, writing, “”To the broader public, I had considerably better expectations from you. But the garbage that you have poured into the comment box, even from the so-called ‘Literate’ ones, demonstrates how retrograde our society is. Women are continually AGE SHAMED, SLUT SHAMED, and MOM SHAMED, which takes away your sense of humour. It is never your problem whether your humour causes someone to have a mental breakdown or not. 13 years of entertaining people, yet none of you took 13 minutes to RIP MY DIGINITY APART.” Munmun and Raj played Babita Iyer and Jethalal’s kid Tappu in the iconic TV drama Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, which recently aired 4,000 episodes.
