In her second media appearance, Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, disclosed that her husband would unveil significant revelations related to the alleged excise policy scam during his court appearance on Thursday.
This announcement comes following Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on charges of irregularities in the now-defunct 2021-22 excise policy. Sunita Kejriwal emphasized that her husband would present evidence concerning the whereabouts of the proceeds from the purported scam.
Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest sparked a contentious debate, with the AAP asserting that he would retain his position as Chief Minister, citing the political nature of the accusations. Despite being in custody, Kejriwal issued directives to address water and sewage issues in Delhi, demonstrating his commitment to public service.
Sunita Kejriwal further revealed that her husband plans to expose the lack of evidence regarding the alleged scam during his court appearance. Amidst these developments, BJP leaders criticized Sunita Kejriwal for allegedly assuming the CM’s authority during her statements, while AAP supporters rallied behind Arvind Kejriwal, describing him as honest and patriotic.
