RRR is surpassed by Yami Gautam’s Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga as the “most watched Indian film” on Netflix.

7th April 2023 (New Delhi):Kangana Ranaut praised Yami Gautam for her most recent movie, Chor Nikal Ke Bhaaga, and claimed that she is quietly producing some of the “most successful films quietly.” In order to mark the success of her most recent movie, Yami made a social media post on Netflix claiming that it was the “most Indian film viewed globally” on the streaming service.

Kangana shared Yami’s post on her Instagram story and wrote, “@yamigautam is doing so well, consistently and quietly delivering the most successful films… so inspiring. Congratulations to the entire team.” As per the data provided by the OTT platform Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga even beat the super-successful RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi under the category of ‘Hours viewed in first two weeks of launch.’ 

Yami and Kangana like each other a lot. On open stages and even on social media, they frequently show their admiration for one another. Yami first discusses the connection between her and Kangana’s genes in March. She said that the latter’s tweet congratulating her on her recent marriage served as the catalyst for everything.

“I think it comes from the fact that we hail from the same state and of course, she is a fantastic actress. She is one of the best we have. For me, the first way of admiration will always be work whether it is Kangana or Vidya or so many other actresses. And then the fact that she wished me on my wedding,” shares Yami.

The actress recalls that the two have never met in an informal setting but came quite close to it recently. She says, “We were shooting for Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga in Manali. It was a two-day shoot and my mom was with me. Very sweetly she messaged me to visit her home but we couldn’t because of erratic shoot hours.”

After  Thursday, Dasvi, and Lost, Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga is Yami’s fourth straight number-one single. All of the films were made available online, where they quickly rose to the top of their respective platforms in terms of viewership. On the professional front, Kangana’s upcoming film is Emergency. Her directing debut will be with this film. She will also appear in Tejas and Chandramukhi 2.
