Rahul Gandhi hits out at PM, says: India wants Sach bharat, not Swatchh Bharat.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday hit out at the government for not being able to keep its promises and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi wanted to create a ‘Swachch Bharat’ but people wanted a ‘sach Bharat’.

“Modiji says he wants to create a Swachch Bharat but we want Sach Bharat. Wherever he goes he lies,” Rahul charged.
Rahul, however, did not point out which incident he was referring to in his allegations.

Addressing a meeting of opposition leaders, hosted by rebel JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav, Rahul called the government’s flagship programme ‘Make in India’ a farce and claimed most products available in the country were made in China.

“Modiji gave ‘Make In India’ but most things are ‘Made In China’. Truth is that Modiji’s Make In India has failed,” he said.

The Congress leader went on to accuse the BJP of not fulfilling the promises made to the people during the 2014 general elections. These included bringing back black money stashed abroad and creating jobs for the youth.
He also attacked the BJP’s ideological mentor the RSS, saying the right-wing organisation had accepted the national flag only after its ideological offspring the BJP came to power in 2014.

“Jab tak inhone (RSS) Hindustan mein raaj nahi kiya tab tak jhande ko salute nahi mara,” Rahul said.

The Gandhi scion also underscored the ideological difference between the RSS and the Congress, which views patriotism and nationalism with a perspective that is poles apart.

“There are two ways of viewing the country. One says ‘this country is mine’, the other says ‘I belong to the country’. That’s the difference between RSS and us,” Rahul said at the Save Composite Culture’ conclave.

Hitting back at Rahul for his barbed remarks, union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad questioned his silence on the alleged killing of RSS workers in Kerala, allegedly by CPM cadres.
“How do they consider the merciless killing of RSS workers by CPM and its goons in Kerala? Is that part of the composite culture?” the senior BJP leader demanded.
