Priyanka Chopra’s Name Removed From Bareilly Voters List
Priyanka Chopra’s hometown is Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh. Soon after she was crowned Miss World in the year 2000, the global icon shifted her base to Mumbai.
Now as per reports in a media agency, Priyanka and her family’s name from the voters’ list were removed yesterday after 17 years. Talking about it, district magistrate Capt. R Vikram Singh stated, “The names of Priyanka Chopra and her mother Madhu Chopra have been removed from the voter’s list.”
The district magistrate further said, “After receiving the report of the block level officer (BLO) their names have been removed.”
The reports added that Priyanka’s father late Col Ashok Chopra had already informed the district administration that he and his family have moved to Mumbai in the letter he wrote in the year 2012.
Meanwhile, Priyanka has wrapped shooting for two Hollywood movies as a supporting character. One is A Kid Like Jake which also stars Jim Parsons, Claire Danes and Octavia Spencer and the second is Isn’t It Romantic? which also stars Rebel Wilson, Adam Devine and Liam Hemsworth.
Recently, in an interview with a leading entertainment portal, when asked about the bond between female actors in Bollywood and Hollywood, Priyanka revealed, “I’m all about girl love. And I have had the most incredible experience working in India. We have celebrated each other’s success just as much in India. I make it a point to compliment my colleagues whenever I like their work, wherever I am.”
Stressing on feminism, Priyanka continued, “As a feminist, I believe women around the world should support each other. We must never be divided and ruled over.”
The actor no longer lives in the city and her house in Bareilly has been locked for long.
