Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a significant journey to Uttarakhand, making stops at Jyolinkang and Adi Kailash in Pithoragarh. He later proceeded to Gunji village, warmly welcomed by locals in traditional attire. Accompanied by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, PM Modi met with soldiers and shared moments with the community.
Key Projects Unveiled
During his visit, PM Modi unveiled a slew of development projects, demonstrating his commitment to Uttarakhand’s progress. He interacted with the people of Gunji village, discussing their concerns and aspirations.
The Prime Minister paid homage at Parvati Kund and Jogeshwar Dham, places of great spiritual significance. His visit was marked by a genuine display of devotion and reverence.

PM Modi inaugurated numerous projects totaling Rs 4200 crore, covering rural development, roads, power, irrigation, and more. Notable inclusions were 101 roads and bridges, benefiting various districts. The day also witnessed the foundation laying for several BDO office buildings and essential road schemes.
The inauguration of water-related schemes, including pumping and gravity-based supply projects, marked a significant step towards enhancing water accessibility. Additionally, the unveiling of the Tharkot artificial lake in Pithoragarh was a notable highlight.
Power transmission received a boost with the inauguration of the 132 KV Pithoragarh-Lohaghat (Champawat) line, promising improved electricity distribution.
Stronger Disaster Preparedness
The newly constructed Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority (USDMA) building in Dehradun signifies the state’s enhanced readiness in handling emergencies.
