People No more late Night Parties in Goa

Where Goa has been famous for its late night parties and rave parties, it may not have tourism as it was since all these years.

But now what. Will the new years still have that much crowd and people will travel around the world to come over to goa, not only its low public count but with the lesser lights which lit every day for the tourist attraction?

Asserting that late night rave parties are not part of Goa’s culture, state’s Water Resources Department Minister Vinod Palyekar on Monday called for a statewide ban and said that such parties allow the drug industry to flourish which adversely affect the youth. “Late night parties should be banned in Goa. Though our state runs on tourism, but under the garb of tourism, drugs are being supplied. This is adversely affecting our youth. If you visit the coastal areas (then) you can see how the youth are getting ruined because of this

Goa Water Resources Minister Vinod Palyekar has demanded a complete ban on drug-ridden rave parties on beaches in the coastal state.
“Our coast is infested with the sale and trafficking of drugs. There is absolutely no control over it. We need to stop it. First of all, we need to stop the rave parties and all night parties which are happening here as there is an abuse of drugs in them,” Palyekar told reporters here today.

He said the police was turning a blind eye to such parties which are against our culture.

“Late night parties are not part of our culture. We need not encourage them. They should be shut down immediately,” the minister said.

Palyekar represents Siolim constituency in North Goa, which has several popular beaches thronged by lakhs of tourists annually.
The minister said he had called the police and instructed them to stop late night parties.

“Despite several warnings and reminders late night music goes on till 3-4 am which is creating problems not only for aged people but also to the student community who are answering Board exams,” he added.
