Paytm FASTag Recharge Ends After March 15: Learn How to Purchase a New One for Seamless Toll Payments

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has requested that Paytm Payments Bank shut down its business. In January, the central bank ordered Paytm Payments Bank, an affiliate of Paytm, to stop accepting new deposits into its accounts (wallets) effective February 29th. This deadline has been extended to March 15th. After March 15th, the RBI will prevent Paytm Payments Bank from accepting any credit transactions, deposits, or top-ups in customer accounts, prepaid cards, wallets, FASTags, National Common Mobility Cards,

Paytm FASTag customers can still use their current card balances to pay tolls as on March 15, but they will no longer be able to add or recharge money. It is imperative that you make sure your Paytm FASTag has enough money for continuous toll transactions since after this date, top-ups will no longer be available. Maintain a smooth travel experience by appropriately controlling your FASTag balance.

Disable your Paytm FASTag:

Follow these steps to ensure a smooth closure of your account:
1. Enter your registered mobile number and either the Tag ID or the Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) when you dial 1800-120-4210.

2. Speak with a Paytm customer service representative, who will walk you through the steps and verify that your FASTag has been deactivated.

Follow these easy procedures to safely terminate your Paytm FASTag services.

Or else:

1. You may click the profile icon when the Paytm app is open.

2. Click “Help & Support” and go to “Banking Services & Payments” > “FASTag.”

3. Select “Chat with us” and ask the representative to cancel your account.

How can I purchase a FASTag online?

1. For accessing the e-commerce link, download the “My FASTag” app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, then select “Buy FASTag.”

2. You may purchase the FASTag and have it shipped to your address.

How can I have my Paytm FASTag activated online?

1. To launch the “My FASTag” app, then select “Activate FASTag.”

2. Click on Flipkart or Amazon.

3. Scan the QR code or enter the FASTag ID.

4. Your new FASTag will be activated after you provide the data of your car.

Remember, multiple active FASTags for the same vehicle are prohibited; a vehicle can have only one active FASTag at a time.
