Pakistan’s former Prime Minister arrested by Pak Rangers post Al-Qadir Trust hearing
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has been arrested. It has been told that he has been arrested by Pak Rangers. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has been arrested outside the Islamabad High Court. It is being told that the action has been taken by the Pakistan Rangers. When Imran reached the High Court to appear in the Al-Qadir Trust case, he was taken into custody by the Pak Rangers.
Azhar Maswani, another PTI leader, alleged that 70-year-old Imran Khan was abducted by Rangers from inside the court. He said the party has given an immediate call for protests across the country. Another party leader said in a video message on Twitter that they are torturing Imran Khan. They are beating Khan Sahab. They have done something with Khan Sahab.
Pakistani media reported that Rangers broke windows in the Islamabad High Court to arrest former Pakistan PM, Imran Khan.
Imran Khan’s lawyer is badly injured inside the Islamabad High Court (IHC) premises. Former Pak PM’s party said in a tweet that it is a black day for our democracy and country.
What is Al-Qadir Trust Case?
This is a university matter. It is alleged that Imran had illegally provided land worth crores of rupees to it as Prime Minister. This was disclosed by Malik Riaz, the richest personality in Pakistan. He had alleged that Imran and his wife got land worth billions of rupees in their name by threatening them in the name of his arrest. Later the audio of Riyaz and his daughter was also leaked. In this, the matter of asking for a five-carat diamond ring from Imran’s wife Bushra Bibi came to the fore.
