No Fear No Favour

Now, we have a TV show which will talk about ‘nasbandi’

Think of this like this, a cloth to be cut into a piece and that snip made by you went wrong leaves the whole cloth waste. But what if a wrong snip with scissors is made down there.

Yes, you read that right. Down in the ‘private parts’, where it matters the most for all men.

Shocked?

We are just talking about vasectomy or nasbandi. If you have even been to movie halls, which I am sure you had, you might know about it because of all the government ads urging men to get vasectomy to stop unwanted pregnancy and to ensure family planning.

It is a much-tabooed topic in India, though necessary. If Ayushman Khurana’s Shubh Mangal Savdhaan (2017) opened up discussed the much discussed and much taboo-ed erectile dysfunction, ‘Meri Hanikarak Biwi’ is about vasectomy.

What is vasectomy?

A vasectomy is a simple surgery that can be done by a doctor in an office, hospital, or clinic. The small tubes in the scrotum that carry sperm are cut or blocked off, so sperm can’t leave the body and cause pregnancy. The procedure is very quick, and you can go home the same day. And it’s extremely effective at preventing pregnancy — almost 100%.

Hai na amazing baat?

That is why it is known as male sterilization.

Vasectomies don’t change the way having an orgasm or ejaculating (cumming) feels. Your semen /cum will still look, feel, and even taste the same after a vasectomy. It just can’t get anyone pregnant.

The important part is of course that the serial is not set in a city like Mumbai or Delhi. The story is set in Varanasi. The crowd is a mix and it is a space where such a topic would be a taboo.

The trailer looks promising. There is a sense of light-hearted family comedy vibe.

Let’s hope the serial manages to change the attitude towards vasectomy. Do watch it and let us know what you think about it.
