“Mother Jumps in Front of Bus, Hoping for Compensation to Support Children”

The police, who initially registered the case as death by accident two weeks ago, have now modified it after the emergence of CCTV footage.

In Salem, a woman tragically died by suicide after throwing herself in front of a moving bus. She hoped that any compensation resulting from her death would help her children pay their college fees. The police initially registered the case as an accidental death, but after reviewing a CCTV video of the incident, they are now altering the case. The woman, identified as 39-year-old Pappathi, worked as a temporary sweeper at the Salem collectorate. She was a single mother, and her daughter was in her final year of Electronic Engineering, while her son was pursuing Architecture at a Polytechnic college. Pappathi’s son denies the reports and claims that their relatives have been helping them with the fees.
