This film is based on the life of transgenders and widows, who are isolated in the society. Regarding the film, Meera said that this film shows reality and she likes doing this type of cinema very much.

While talking to news agency ANI, Meera said, ‘The film ‘Safed’ is such a film, about which no one can even imagine. This film surprises a lot, because it gives a glimpse of a world that hardly anyone knows about and which we often ignore. This is a very beautiful love story. Its shooting has been done in Banaras.

Regarding the OTT release of the film, Meera said, ‘I think such films should be released on OTT. The OTT audience is very savvy when it comes to understanding and watching meaningful cinema. I love being a part of this kind of cinema. Let us tell you that apart from Meera, Abhay Verma also stars in ‘Safed’. This film is based on the love story of a transgender and a widow.

The film shows how two victims of social oppression find solace in each other and their loneliness goes away. Let us tell you that this film has been directed by Sandeep Singh. He is making his directorial debut through this film. This film is releasing today on 29 December 2023 on OTT platform Zee5.
