On Tuesday evening, she announced the removal of Akash Anand as her political heir and from his position as the National Coordinator of the BSP until he attains full maturity.
This decision comes as a reevaluation of Akash Anand’s responsibilities within the party, emphasizing the broader interests of the BSP and its movement.
Mayawati clarified her initial designation of Akash Anand as her successor and National Coordinator but highlighted the necessity to prioritize the party’s welfare above individual roles.
Despite this decision, Akash Anand’s father, Anand Kumar, will continue to play his role within the party as before.
Mayawati underscored the BSP’s commitment to making sacrifices for the party’s advancement and the continuation of Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy.
