Marching ahead: Mayawati releases list of another 100 candidates for U.P elections

With the announcement of the elections date for 5 states due next month, the battle of the thrones in U.P has begun with Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati announcing the list of another 100 candidates that try their luck in the upcoming elections. Mayawati on Thursday had come up with the list of 100 candidates.

The BSP chief had said that she had finalised the names of candidates long ago and there will be no change in it. Alleging that minorities were facing bias under Modi government, Mayawati had cautioned Muslims that voting for SP or Congress will only help Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and sought their support “to stop” the saffron party. Muslims should not waste their vote as there is infighting in Samajwadi Party, and Congress lacks a voter base in Uttar Pradesh, Mayawati has said.
