Konkona Sen Sharma opens up about her romantic scene with Manoj Bajpayee in ‘Killer Soup’.
Bollywood actress Konkona Sen Sharma is in the news these days for her film ‘Killer Soup’, in which she has worked with Manoj Bajpayee. The actress’s performance in the film was highly appreciated by the audience. Sharing her experience of working with Manoj in the crime thriller ‘Killer Soup’ directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Konkana also talked about the content and subject matter available on OTT. He also talked about censorship on OTT.
Talking about working with Manoj, Konkana said, ‘It was fantastic. I wanted to work with Manoj Bajpayee for many years and I was thrilled when I got the opportunity, but when the shooting started I was a little nervous because he is a great actor who has had a very popular career. I thought he would be very aggressive, very intimidating for me, but he was nothing like that. There is a special warmth in his personality, which I like very much. He used to cook food for us on the set. Sometimes we would all gather together and play games while waiting for the shots, so we had a wonderful bonding experience during the shoot.
Talking about doing intimate scenes in films, Konkana said that she has no problem in filming such scenes, but the purpose of the scene should not be just to create excitement or sensationalize the scene. Abhishek and Manoj made me very comfortable. The atmosphere on the set was very comfortable and personal. Everything about what I would wear and how they would shoot it was discussed in advance, so I knew what was going to happen. I didn’t feel uncomfortable doing anything like that.
I don’t believe in censorship at all, of course shows should be rated U/A or PG-13 so parents know what kids can and can’t watch, but when it comes to adults no There should be no censorship. If people above 18 years of age can vote and choose their leaders and life partners then why can’t they choose their stuff? There should be a clear warning that it’s not suitable for children or that it’s violent or sexual, but that’s the point. After that I believe adults can make their own decisions.
