Himachal Pradesh CM blames father-son duo of conspiracy against him.

In an exclusive interview with News Leak Centre (NLC) on Friday, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh accused the Bhartiya Janta Party members Prem Kumar Dhumal and his son Anurag Thakur of conspiracy against him and asserted that all the corruption charges against him were fabricated.
Talking about the CBI chargesheet in the DA case, the Chief Minister said “It’s 100% false story; All charges against me are fabricated. This is a conspiracy against me stitched by some BJP leaders like Prem Kumar Dhumal and Anurag Thakur. The BJP is misusing its power. There’s no truth in it.”
The Chief Minister sheds some lights about the unfortunate raids that were happened on the same day of his daughter’s marriage.
“It was my daughter’s wedding day when the raids happened, they should have waited for some time, and it’s against Hindu traditions as well. They committed a blunder by carrying out raids on the occasion of my daughter’s wedding day. People of Himachal Pradesh noticed the politics CBI raids and they sympathise with me. The plot of conspiracy went against my opponents.”
The case was registered by CBI after a preliminary inquiry found that Virbhadra Singh, during his term as a Union Minister from 2009 to 2012, allegedly accumulated assets worth ₹6.03 crore, which were disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Earlier this year, CBI filed a chargesheet in disproportionate assets case against the Chief Minister. The chargesheet also contains the name of Singh’s wife Pratibha along with others, bringing the count of the accused up to nine.
The Chief Minister also discussed the upcoming assembly elections due in this year and said that the Congress will once again reign supreme in the state elections as the weather of Himachal is not appropriate for lotus to grow. “The Congress is in a very strong position in Himachal Pradesh and will definitely form the government in next elections, Himachal weather is not conducive for lotus to bloom” he added.
Singh talked about his record-breaking sixth tenure as Chief Minister, the CM said: “It is only because of Himachal people, they have a special trust in me and I will always be there to work for the development of Himachal Pradesh.”
The longest-serving Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh – he has served as Chief Minister since 2012; he previously served as Chief Minister from 1983 to 1990, from 1993 to 1998 and from 2003 to 2007. Singh was appointed to lead the party on the eve of the November 2012 elections and did so with success. Congress party then agreed to him becoming Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh for a record sixth time and he is gearing up for the seventh time.
Assembly election in Himachal Pradesh is scheduled to be held later this year.
